The kid is a f****** beast.
Good in the air. Good at ground level. Good at goal kicking.
Look out.

Re: For the Max King knockers
He is going to be some player.
We’ve got to be wary of bombing it in long to him when he’s double teamed. I know his role is to bring it to ground if he can’t mark, but we need to sum up other options who don’t have two players on them.

Max King Knockers? Are there such people? Or is this a new non-existent category with no actual members?

Let's see. Few Sainters wanted him dropped. Some said we picked the wrong brother.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Mon 17 Aug 2020 5:11pm Max King Knockers? Are there such people? Or is this a new non-existent category with no actual members?

Couldn't agree more SR, there are very few supporters on this site knocking Max King.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Mon 17 Aug 2020 5:11pm Max King Knockers? Are there such people? Or is this a new non-existent category with no actual members?
I recall pre-season there was one person stating he wasn't in the best 22 and needed the season at Sandy, but other than that I don't recall anyone knocking him.
Suggesting a 19 YO who has played little footy in the last 3 years he may need a rest is a different kettle of fish than wanting him dropped.

It's the same people who question Jack Steele's attitude.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Mon 17 Aug 2020 5:11pm Max King Knockers? Are there such people? Or is this a new non-existent category with no actual members?

Re: For the Max King knockers
That kid will be the best forward in the game in 2-3 years time. Only needs to build his strength and he'll dominate. No one, bar his brother, will be able to go with him and that won't be happening as they'll both be in Saints jumpers by then.

Re: For the Max King knockers
How do you think the two of them would work in the same forward line? When they are peaking you would need four defenders to stop them, maybe more

Re: For the Max King knockers
He's the player I've been the most excited about in years. Everything is in place for him, with luck, to absolutely become a dominant game winner.
Good times ahead we just need some mids who can find him and possibly another foil who draws a key defender and forces Maxxy into one on ones.

Re: For the Max King knockers
Yep, same “expert” poster was saying only a few days ago that King should get dropped to the seconds if they were playing.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Mon 17 Aug 2020 5:32pmCouldn't agree more SR, there are very few supporters on this site knocking Max King.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Mon 17 Aug 2020 5:11pm Max King Knockers? But some people have a record of getting things repeatedly horribly wrong
Back to King, he showed against Essendon how deadly he is on the lead, we need to utilise this much more
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Re: For the Max King knockers
Not sure I should admit this, but I quite enjoy watching his twin.
For some reason it makes me realize just how much potential Max actually has.

Me too for some reason I think if Ben does well/great then Max can and will do the same

Max is probably tracking just as good as Riewoldt at this point in his career.

Re: For the Max King knockers
not getting much traction with the faithful are we Johnnyearl?
So an official poster boy picture posted by St Kilda is one for the knockers?
Read your audience, or sack whoever's doing the reading for you
Maybe stick to your knitting in the GF
you're a troll trying too hard to ingratiate yourself

Re: For the Max King knockers
The thought of Ben joining Max would be unbelievable for our club and would go a long way towards achieving that elusive second premiership. Growing up as passionate St Kilda supporters and the possibility of one day playing together in a winning GF team, will have to weigh heavily on his mind when his GCS contract is up. Here's hoping.

While the though might be nice, the trade cost for Ben will be huge.

Re: For the Max King knockers
having both Kings would be be pretty weird given that they're such similar freakish players and twins to boot, playing similar roles in 2 different teams
Is there room for both of them?
would it be good for them and their development as individual potential champions?
Just confuses me as well as makes we wonder how the 2 of them in one team would work
I'm not closed to it, but it sort of blows my mind
Never seen before in VFL / AFL two tall identical twins holding down separate roles in the one team

Well the last time was when the two Wakelin twins both played at StKilda as key position players.HardSaint wrote: ↑Tue 18 Aug 2020 12:52am having both Kings would be be pretty weird given that they're such similar freakish players and twins to boot, playing similar roles in 2 different teams
