Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Carlisle targeting slaps at Rampe hand (operated on earlier in the week but still playing).

Yep I would think he will get time for that. Not a good look. Hopefully not as long a suspension as Stevie Baker got.

It will be media driven if anything happens. Rampe shouldn’t be playing and definitely shouldn’t be involved in pushing and shoving if injured.

Shouldn’t play if you can’t take a slap on the hand! Rampe was giving King a hard time ,poor young bloke ,double standards much!

In answer to the question, I think not.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Did he actually hit his hand?
Looked like he was slapping at air
Wonder what got him angry?

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Intentional - yes
Contact made - glancing at best
Force - negligible
"Look"- possibly not good
Reportable - definitely Not
Penalty - nothing
If you go into a game with an injury you are fair game to be targeted - no penalty
Otherwise, do you penalise someone for applying a legal tackle to an opponent carrying a shoulder injury?
But if you get injured during a game then it is unsporting to get targeted - that should definitely be reviewed for severity.

Swans have a duty of care not to play injured players. Report them to Workcover.

To be honest, I think King was trying to hit Rampe's hand to begin with. Great stuff kid!

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Nothing in it
Media hype
Carlisle is a fierce competitor and was filthy at the 50, the mark he juggled over the boundary and one other contest where he was cranky with himself
Big Jake not happy is a sight
If you are on the ground you are fit and fair game
Carlisle was actually scrapping to get the Sydney player to let go of this jumper, then had a slap at the Sydney players other hand but missed

Rampe went for King before the first bounce and continued to do it most of the first quarter
It was a deliberate plan IMHO

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
So our media unit should get on the front foot and put out a package of Rampe hitting King.

That could work & not just for Carlisle but for King & St Kilda in the future.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sat 01 Aug 2020 11:06pmSo our media unit should get on the front foot and put out a package of Rampe hitting King.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
Rampe’s hand can’t be too sore going by the treatment he was trying to dish out to Max. The club should point this out if anything comes out of the Carlisle thing

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
We could always suggest to the AFL that the club will punish him.
By making him kick 100 short passes that hit their target.
Probably will need 1,000 kicks.

Re: Has Carlisle Given Clavarino His Chance
If they're playing, then they're fit - they're fair game.
I remember someone doing this to G Train many moons ago as well when he played with a broken finger or hand.
No issue as far as I'm concerned
The Saints are coming!
