Votes v Swans
Three wins on the trot - great stuff.
5. Nick Hind . When the game was tightening up, we needed someone to break it open. This guy did it.
3. Zak Jones . So good in the guts.
3. Jack Steele . Ditto
2. Jade Gresham. Ditto !
1. Rowan Marshall. Both ruckmen great again. Roma the better I think .
1. Ben Paton. Superb job on Papley.
Many others who stood up. Clark. Billings. Wilkie. Coffield . Butler . Hill at times . Etc etc !!

Haven’t watched the game but am really happy to see Hind amongst the votes.
Many here wrote him off before the season started and he’s just been getting a little better each time

He's so damn quick but also clean. He'll have some off games where things don't come off but if he stays consistent he'll keep his spot. Love how he ends up in all sorts of spots around the ground. Massive tank and good footy brain. It's his spot to loose now.

Re: Votes v Swans
After watching him in the pre-season I publicly doubted whether he was AFL standard. I'm very pleased to be proven wrong, he was good against Port Adelaide and excellent tonight.

JB releases the footy way too early at times and either disposes it to no one or it's a direct turnoverperfectionist wrote: ↑Sat 01 Aug 2020 9:10pm 5. Jack Steele

Just once I'd like to see JB sidestep or balk a player and afterwards go for a run or dish out directly to a team mates chest.
It's not about strength or speed, it's more an awareness thing and having a plan of how to avoid a tackle or smother
If Hind, Gresham, and Hunter Clark can do it why can't JB?

Re: Votes v Swans
What I love the most is we have a balanced list of contributors and it's been that way for much of the season.
Think about that game last night -- and this will eventually happen -- if we had good solid contributions and 1 or 2 absolutely dominant performances from the likes of King or Hill.
That team could challenge anyone.
Go Saints!
(Also FU to the asterisks brigade.)

Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

If we didn't get the Famous Five we wouldn't be Top 4.
And in that vein
3 Jones
3 Ryder
3 Howard
3 Butler
and have to include the excitement machine
3 Hind.
Also thinking perhaps it should be
15 Brett Ratten
5 Gubby Allen
5 Lethean
