Re: Game Day thread. Saints v Cats Friday 7:30
Why are we playing Michael Gardiner?
He should be dropped for King.
He is out of form and won't contribute much, especially up forward where he looks lost.

I think we’ll jump them early but I expect this one will go down to the wire.

Re: Game Day thread. Saints v Cats Friday 7:30
This is the conversation I am having at work:
I’ve told other Saints fans that if we beat the Cats that’ll be 14 wins. You only need 16-17 to secure a top 2 spot. It will be time to start planning for finals. We will easily win another 3 out of 8, and I reckon you need a couple of losses now in the middle stages. Keep the team motivated and hungry towards the pointy end.
I’m not talking about playing this year ‘one week at a time’. We have the best opportunity I have ever seen for any Saints team in my lifetime. I’m talking about making sure our best players are fresh and in peak form leading up to September and we give ourselves an edge over every other team. Utilise the whole list now. We can afford to lose 3 or 4 games after this one
Create competition between guys who may have started believed they were guaranteed a spot. If there are players like Dal or Rooy who need to be told they must take a couple of weeks off then damn well do it!!
I realise that most senior people in the industry and your standard adult footy fan has a mentality based on footy from 20 years ago, but I’m sure that pretty soon the AFL will have a bye to ensure that the top players can be out on the park and performing at their best for most weeks

Goal kicking is a problem.
You won’t want if to miss easy shots in the finals.
What’s up with Luke Ball, spends a lot of time on the bench?

Can someone explain why Geary got a game, he's slow, can't kick, does a lot of yelling but no-one listens....he's bloody hopeless, wouldn't given him another contract.....
"Any candidate for political office, once chosen for leadership, must have the will to take the wheel of a very powerful car, tasked from time to time to make a fast journey down a narrow, precipitous mountain road – and be highly skilled at driving. Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Don’t worry, Maxy will be back for finals, it would be pure stupidity to leave him out for too long!kosifantutti wrote: ↑Fri 27 Mar 2020 12:48pm In Clarke
