Saints vs Crows
Much better game this week from the girls, lead most of the game and were still in it late, Crows got a few right at the end.
There were a lot of good passages of play and individual efforts from both sides.
Also nice to see a big blonde number 12 coming out of the forward line
I reckon they’ll get a few wins before the season is over, which is a pretty good effort for their first season.

Re: Saints vs Crows
I couldn't give a stuff about women's footy - Until the Saints came into the comp.
Ran out of legs in the end against the premiers but it was an entertaining game and they play the dreamons next week who are going great.
I would have been good if they played against another new side early in the season to get a bit of confidence up.
Go Saints!!!

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Agree 100% - I didn’t care at all about AFLW until this year.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Sun 16 Feb 2020 10:11pm I couldn't give a stuff about women's footy - Until the Saints came into the comp.

Love the fact we are getting our brand in the market - great exposure for the men’s comp also.
Gotta love the G Train - she is slow but a hulk of a woman and the real enforcer type you need.

Re: Saints vs Crows
Nothing changes with the Saints teams and umpires though. Clear mark to StKilda not paid and the Crows goaled as a result.

Re: Saints vs Crows
The women are true saints after just two games
Hundreds of times I've seen the boys lose games in exactly the same manner .
This is Saints footy .
Wonder if they'll have to wait 60+ years for a flag

Re: Saints vs Crows
For future reference, so there's no confusion, can we please make the distinction between AFL and AFLW in the topic thread?
Or better yet, could we create a new board just for AFLW?

Re: Saints vs Crows
We don't play the Crows in the AFL until 26 April. I think most people seeing this post would assume it was about the AFLW game that was played yesterday. I don't think we need to worry too much about getting them mixed up, do you?
