And for sure he has a lot of inside contacts in the West who will be giving him info on Garlett and any other players from WA on the radar.oldie60 wrote:Hey,regarding Garlett lets not forget that SW has a real attachment to West Australians.

Highly doubt we will take garlett. Could have and probably should have last year....for nothing...reckon we will stay away as the club can't risk having a bad boy.
Reality is we should embrace the culture rather than fight it. Get dusty, get swan, get garlett. Instead we try to deny our bloodline and heritage by taking good guys that aren't as talented

Just came up on Saints BF that Patton looked around Seaford today. Ox on SEN the source. I know we believe nothing on that station, but interesting.

Re: Official Trade Rumours thread (all in here please)
If we can somehow get a trade done for Patton without getting rid of pick 3 i'd be stoked.
Can't see what we would offer though...Montagna, Fisher, McEvoy for Patton and Pick 10?
GWS have already stated they are more interested in players than picks.
If the rumours are true that he's toured Whitten Oval and Linen House Centre, I reckon we would probably have more bargaining power than the dogs, and would probably offer a similar contract. Dare I say it the "saints fan as a kid" factor could play a role.

Maybe Montagna, Fisher, and pick 21 for Patton and Bruce?

Not sure if serious
Chance that one of these blokes would be at Seaford at this time of year - 50%
Chance of both at the same time - 10%
Chance they would be hungry and stop for takeaway - 50%
Chance they would feel like a beer at that time - 10%
Chance they would feel like a smoke with the beer - 10%
So all up its .5*.1*.5*.1*.1 = 0.00025 = 0.025% chance.

I was actually at the takeaway place, Jon told me he is going to quit the Giants so that we don't lose any draft picks. Nice fellow

Still leaves them with the same problem re draft picks v players. they lose 2 players and gain 2 players and a draft pick.
They want less draft picks and more players.

Re: Official Trade Rumours thread (all in here please)
Would anyone trade Armo for Melb pick 2?
They want a mindfielder who can play 8 years....not sure they would take him? Is he in favour?
Just a thought no rumor.

LOL - we'd probably be able to get a pick in the 20s if we were fortunate for Armo.andrewg wrote:Would anyone trade Armo for Melb pick 2?

Melbourne is a pretty poorly run club - but even they wouldn't agree to that.
