Credit where credit due!!!!!

Your joking right.
Marcus Bontempelli (Eltham) was considered the big surprise of the night, gone by pick four when the Western Bulldogs took the tall midfielder with their first selection.

No, not joking, Credit were credit is due, as you can read, they took the gamble, so well done to them!!!!!

In no way was it a huge risk. Collingwood were all over him and they had pick 5.

Apologies for that, my mistake, thought you could read the above quote from draft night 2013!!!!!

Also know some recruiters whom were shocked that he went so high!!!!!

Clubs always say they were taking the previous pick with the next pick!!!!!

Don't fall for that old Chestnut Curl's!!!!!

Its common knowledge Collingwood were into him with pick 5. There was a big newspaper spread before the draft about a Hine special. Bont was always going Top ten.

And we did alright getting Gresham with Pick 18 or whatever it was, Gresham should have gone top 5.

I think the thing that annoys me about this Bont love and comparisons to Jack, is that some seem to be caught up in all the hype around The Bulldogs.

Sure they're a good list, however until they get their forward line right (the return of Crameri next year will help that to an extent), a solid ruck division and some good key defenders, they are not nor will they be a Premiership list.

Our list is better, just not as experienced in terms of games played (by individual players and the group). We have a lot more cause for excitement than they do.
