Plenty of times..Lloyd was one when Max came back from long term injury who are the others. I think Richo may have got him once as well and Neitz kicked 5 in the first quarter from outside 50 at the mcg. Cant remember any others but i'm sure you will enlighten me
How is Howard going..picking up a smokie #26 in a strong draft is not dumb?
Nice to see you agree with me.
Relevance of Howard apart from you feeling a bit miffed i have no idea.
Stanley was a good pick up as a rookie though hey?
And will make a good fullback given time. or dont you agree and just want to have a pissing contest trying to oneup me?
The reason you thought taking howard at #26 was not foolhardy indicated your head needs adjusting.
Yes I think Stanley could become a good defender with experience but he has the potential to become a great rucking/forward long-term. Unfortunately we need him back and the experience will do him no harm when he moves up the ground.
Rhys will become a very good defender within the next couple of seasons, thanks mainly to experience, coaching, opportunity and encouragement. At present, he is playing in a backline that is not working well together. Roberton and Geary have been our best defenders. We are missing 3 from our back six, I believe in two seasons we will have a formidable defence and I believe Stanley will be a cornerstone. Sadly this season we have experienced defenders either not available or sadly out of form or match fitness. Fisher, Gilbert, Gwilt and Dempster to name four. Unfortunately it is a rejuvenation but a much needed one. A pity the likes of Lenny won't benefit but I do hope Roo will see some fruits of it, especially if is allowed to adopt a Richo role for his final years.
