we had full 44 + 4 as at December 2009 listing-
included 6 rookies and 4 scholarship players
so the base 38 + rookies and Scholarship

if you have more3 veterans you have less rookies
total still needs to be 38 core list +6
we had 38 with Lenny Inside List + 6 rookies
you can only have ( I can be corrected) as many as 3 veterans outside the list.
and reduction in their wage reduces depending on how many you have- hence many teams do not list more than 2/3 Veterans.
