Has anyone seen the Vacant brothers play.
They must be pretty good to get Max's and Sir Robert's old numbers.

It is a fair compliment to be given the number three seeing as unlike CJ he is yet to cement his position at the club.
The kid CAN play.

Lance or James??

In fairness to SaintBot only quoting from saints.com

but agree other Greene a poor choice by writer.

Sorry I was not having a crack at SaintBot.
I meant to say the club needs to have a better idea of it's history.

Fair enough too, he probably wants his own identity...not to fill anyone else's shoes.

There's been a few decent no.20s for the Saints already - Micky Dwyer and Matty Young spring to mind...I'm sure Armo can uphold the standard! 8-)

Did Russell Greene's brother Mark wear number 6?

I think Ian Sartori wore 6 as well.

I tend to rate numbers on how they look, rather than who have worn them.

The numbers that I would want on my back would be 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 16, 17, 18, 20, 23 and 25.

With my personal favourite 10!

I look at the scully/trengove situation and think that tom got screwed over. I would hate to have 31 on my back cos it looks s***!

So if I were Armo, I would have kept 20 most days of the week!

Mark Greene wore #6 in '76 and '77 after Russell wore it in '75.
I wonder why Russell went to number 29 for 5 years? Maybe he wanted to create his own history.

Silvio Foshini also wore #6 for five years, '83-'87.

Ian Sartori did wear #6 in '80-'81.

Of course, Silvio Foschini. Didn't realise he was at the Saints for five seasons.

I'm a bit like you though it doesn't follow any real logic. For instance I like the look of 31, 32, 33, 35 & 36 but not 30, 34, 37, 38 or 39. And I really like 27 but not 28. It's just a personal preference.
