Well I just watched the replay, and one thing that was clear is all those who think there’s some kind of umpiring conspiracy against us were once again shown to be absolutely clueless!
We got an absolute ride from the umps, and not for the first time this season!

Re: The umpires tonight
If the free kicks were there and the umpires paid them, how did we get a ride with the umpires exactly?
Last week people who complained about the umpiring, which they have every right to do, were slammed, even though they were proven correct.
You have to wonder about people’s real motivations.
Beggars belief really.

Re: The umpires tonight
It's mind blowingly confusing, why are the AFL sanctioned cheating umpires apologising for a poor performance against us V Adealiade and giving us a good run against PA?The Fireman wrote: ↑Mon 27 Jul 2020 11:03pmwhy did they give us a fair run ?? What is going on, is it opposite world?
Why have the AFL and the cheating umpires changed their focus?
Are they now cheating for us instead of against us?

Re: The umpires tonight
Go have a look what Port fans are saying, only takes 2 minutes, does this sound familiar?
We didn't get a single goal from a free kick whereas St Kilda had 4 goals directly from free kicks; not sure how many were set-up through frees down the field but given the closeness of the game those 24 gimme points made the difference keeping us from getting a good lead and precious momentum/morale heading into the 4th quarter.
No, but those supporters are crazy, ours are right on the money!

Pretty sure I said they were bad across the board, and mostly due to the rushed change to the 'holding the ball' rule the AFL brought in because Clarko had a sook.

We got reamed. So obvious people started looking over our games and finally we got a decent run. Parker was nearly decapitated. The maggot said he didn't see it. f****** blind Freddy would have seen it. The maggot must have been admiring himself on the big screen is the only explanation I can offer.

Re: The umpires tonight
I always enjoy the umpiring more when we win - but you only need to look at the stats from the last 10 years to see that we are generally on the wrong side of the frees for and against ledger.
You can argue till your blue in the face the reasons behind that - but either way we haven't had a good run.
We were on the right side of the ledger on the weekend and it was great - good job umps !
But we have( certainly I have ) as supporters got so use to the umpiring going against us that we almost feel like we've been done a favor because we ended up 5-6 frees up at the end of the game -- we are so used to being 5-6 frees down at the end of the game
I'm hoping we get a chance to get use to getting more frees - unlike some of these one eyed home state monopoly teams fan flogs I don't feel like we deserve to get more frees but I'll very happy if we do
