Was a fan of Phil when he was captain of the magoos in the '70s. Remember him playing at full back in the curtain raisers back in those days.kosifantutti wrote: ↑Thu 06 Aug 2020 1:59pmI’m also glad we got rid of Phil Stevens.johnearljames wrote: ↑Thu 06 Aug 2020 1:08pm Max King leading Bruce in goal kicking.
14 v 11.
A 20 year old kid on the verge of being a superstar v a late 20's something C grade forward. The club made the right choices.
Same with Stevens, Acres, Newnes. They were taking us nowhere.

So in relative terms how is the value for money compared to Hannabery?remboy wrote: ↑Thu 06 Aug 2020 6:39pmFour years @$750k. Re: Josh Bruce
Disappointed Josh has battled at the Dogs. He gave a lot of for us, a real heart and soul player.
Can't argue about what we turned those picks into, effectively, but I always liked players who gave a big effort for the club and he certainly did that.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Re: Josh Bruce
Hannebery will be rejoining the side at the stipulated time (and Gresham we trust)
Given we are indeed Finals bound (so we have to keep winning games), Hannebery will be a required player and will significantly improve our side (more so than Gresham who will also be welcomed)
The value of Hannebery with his skill set under the rucking of Ryder, with positioning and ball use, is the reason he is a required player
We look forward to welcoming him back

Re: Josh Bruce
I hope Hannebery proves to have some value, but a bit rose coloured glasses to think he’s going to have an impact this year. Maybe he’ll be fit for later in the finals, going by the estimate on our injury list. Coming off a long lay off and injury prone so will be eased back. IMO Hannebery is a bust. Hope I’m wrong, but no evidence yet to suggest he’s been worth anywhere near his pay grade. We shall see.To the top wrote: ↑Sat 22 Aug 2020 8:21pm Hannebery will be rejoining the side at the stipulated time (and Gresham we trust)

Re: Josh Bruce
Hannebery can be as good as he wants but he’s played 10 games in the last season and 1/2
Bruce has played 34
If both the Saints and Dogs make the finals... i will be very confident that one of those players will be available to represent his team, even if his performance isn’t as good as the guy on the sidelines
