But if as drag it says they're not interested then I can't see how Brissie could get it done. Wrong picks and they'll spend their whole time arguing with Essendon about Ryder.

Joey.
That would be the guy that everyone has been saying for most of the year "is playing like he is leaving at the end of the year".......
Hasn't that been happening for 3 years now?
Could also say "is playing with a fractured leg"
Armo has a lot more value than Joey, I reckon they will be seriously thinking about him.
I think it has to be Armo if we are looking at trading out a player with currency! But this is a tough call because Richo praised him big time on multiple times throughout the year...to offload him would be a real shock...but it might just have to happen. Armo's what, 26 I think, another couple of years and his currency would diminish and hopefully he'd be getting squeezed out anyway. The jury is still out on his absolute potential, could become A grade, or could be another Big Boy, solid B grader, no more...personally I don't know which way he'll go. But if we're serious about stocking up on draft talent, he'd be my pick for being shopped around if I were a betting man.

I certainly don't limit Armo's trade currency to Qld based sides - He will have decent currency across the board. As has been mentioned on here previously, whatever trade scenarios are discussed, we must play hardball and not flinch!

I don't think Jack will go anywhere. He's really in line to become a marquee player and is really popular with the kids. Some guys profile is worth as much as their on field out put. Jack isn't that bad a kick just works in tight under pressure any way. I would be keen to keep both unless the offer was so in our favour you couldn't say no.
Surely we're not thinking about trading Armitage or Steven? Might as well trade everyone and see what we end up with. Or we can get 38 picks in the draft.

Jack who? I hope you don't mean Steven. He will be our best player clearly next year baring injury. I will put that out there.
+1, Can't wait to see him have a full pre season without hiccups leading into round 1. His 2013 form would be nice..
Plus two!
(Been too long since I've had a chance to agree with something that Pluggs has written. )

There's been many clubs previously said a pick is on the table when they've got no intention of trading it. I'd be very surprised if we off loaded it. And only then it would have to invokve a deal which allowed to still get a top five pick.
Pelchan mentioned last year that we hadn't had access to top end talent for a decade. You don't solve that by giving away the first pick.

I suspect he is just flying the Kite. Putting it out there in the media - to see what offers we get.
If we get a good offer hell look at it then. If no genuine offers - we probably go for the Pet.

they have had it out there for a few weeks
Also up front about wanting 3 in first round, or near ala last year
But I'm guessing if they could get a quality 2nd year player and pick inside 20 for pick 1 they may take that

Pelican may try his hardest to get 2 in the top 20 - incl a top 5 pick as one of the two but it may not happen at the end of the day, resulting in the arrival of a player most likely to successfully transition to afl. If Petra emulates Rooey or Banger for that matter the Pelican will be toasted enthusiastically for bringing him to our club. Of coarse any recruiter who agreed with the majority concensus of who the best available young player is would look smart if that player indeed repaid the confidence shown in him and excel in the big league.
Petracca may emerge as one of the 3 best centremen picked in the last 3 Nat. Drafts!
Pelchin and the brains trust would surely be considering this possibility and finding it close to impossible to trade out that Nb.1 pick.

The boy can play and we can build a defence around him that will have respect.
Gerard Whatley just said on 360 he had heard that it was in the bank that GWS will end up with pick 1 (Petracca). Will involve a swap of picks and players but will happen!
SAINTS another day older another day closer to the Holy Grail!
