Re: Coach in 2020 Who do you think it should be?
Interesting just listening to Nathan Buckley, he said our ball movement in the first month was the slowest in the comp = 4 wins. The last month our ball movement has been the fastest in the comp = 4 losses.
What changed? It seems we went back to last years rubbish, does Richo realise the change?

Yes, it's important we remember which posters to thank for relaying which rumours.

Would be a fair chance to snag one, just by denying all the other clubs any coaching staff.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 10:55pm Mark Williams/Brett Ratten - Senior Coach

Could probably squeeze Leigh Mathews in there somewhere.

I already think our next coach has compromised selection integrity and should be sacked for gifting games.

I think you're being too harsh. Everyone makes mistakes early in their new role. I'd give him at least 5 and half years to get it rightHighettMan wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 11:16pm I already think our next coach has compromised selection integrity and should be sacked for gifting games.

I liked this post, but I think I misinterpreted what you meant by "grannies" !SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Sat 25 May 2019 8:37amLeigh Matthews is leading the board and he's not taking any pansy excuses he's here for grannies.satchmo wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 11:04pmWould be a fair chance to snag one, just by denying all the other clubs any coaching staff.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Fri 24 May 2019 10:55pm Mark Williams/Brett Ratten - Senior Coach

Re: Coach in 2020 Who do you think it should be?
I had a good chat with senior Saints players father yesterday and discussed some interesting things regarding the club. He says he is that disenchanted this year and he hasnt renewed his membership. He was gaurded in what he said about Richo but suggested he is good at bringing the kids thru, but thats where his skills end. He cant and hasnt improved the senior team, and couldnt believe our forward entry plans havent changed in the 6 years he has been there. He was also critical of the clubs recruiting of Hannebrey on 800k per year, the 2 year extension of McCartin's contract last year when the players knew he was cooked. He also suggests they like to give the impression everything is professional with player management but really it is just a facade.

Waht do you mean by 'player management'? Do you mean list management and player contracts or do you mean fitness staff and management of player's physical and mental wellbeing?Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Fri 31 May 2019 1:46pm I had a good chat with senior Saints players father yesterday and discussed some interesting things regarding the club. You need to provide a source to such a statement, as pointed out in my sentence, it's very easy to just make a statement.
All the best though, thanks for you thoughts.

I'm hoping that it will be Richo because that would mean we played finals this year. If not, I'd love to see Lenny get involved. He's done his apprenticeship (5 years at GWS) and I reckon he'd bring plenty as head coach of the Sainters.

Identify your target and get him. Don’t do one of those farcical panel review things we’ve done the last few times...look what that has netted us.

Re: Coach in 2020 Who do you think it should be?
Sacked coaches are synonymous with St Kilda. They get blamed for everything, time and time again - without exception.
Have a look at our history since Alan Jeans.
Lyon saw the writing on the wall and left before he got the chop.
Our recruiting has always been perfect, on the other hand - look at all the A grade big fish we've landed and accumulated over the last 12 years - the Hawks on the other hand, not even a tiny minnow.
And what about our top-ranked and elite-skilled midfield?
It's definitely the coach's fault, once again - it always is!
This is St Kilda, remember - the club with the perfect recruiters (I'm sure one of them is talking to Coniglio right now).
