I haven't posted for a while but I couldn't agree more. The signing of Rowe today is another blatant example of why these complete imbeciles are running this club into the ground, both off and on field.Aussie Jonestown wrote: ↑Fri 15 Mar 2019 10:44pmjaxons getting a one week ban for this post is totally ridiculous.jaxons wrote: ↑Fri 15 Mar 2019 10:30am
When you say unavoidable, not entirely true.
We have a Head of Football who has never worked at club level before, this is a fact.
Gubby Allen has a horrible name inside the industry for double dealing.
Finnis is regarded inside the industry as a joke of a CEO.
These are the people leading our football club.
Steven is back in the fold now and will play Round 1, his personal issues could not be helped.
Roberton is just bad luck for all involved.
Carlisle was cooked at start of the summer and club chose to wait until it got better, turns out the wrong choice.
And Paddy well despite the fact we should never have chosen him pick 1 to start with, his issues have arisen from poor football technique which is a coaching and development issue first and foremost.
As for Hannebery, this was Lethlean's call to pay him $800k a year for 5 years, and get a banged up footballer, who has been known by all to have social issues away from football.
Roberton and Steven were unavoidable, the rest the club has pulled the wrong reign, as usual.

Re: 2019 Season a disaster already
Is St.KiIda Football Club a football club or a social engineering experiment?
Gender neutral toilets!
WTF
There are TWO genders, not FIFTY SIX genders
Males and Females = TWO genders
Finnis in his position as CEO of this football club is abusing this position with this non binary, gender neutral, gender fluid, social influencing garbage propaganda.
There have been incidents of men wearing dresses who have entered women's toilet's and raped women!
How is it acceptable in any way for the members of the St.Kida Football Club to have this imbecilic social engineering rubbish imposed on them without consultation?
It's a fair dinkum disgrace.
Is this social experiment insanity going to be repeated this year?
Is this a football club or a political organisation serving social influencers.

All due respect but to compare us with West Coast is almost an oxy moron. Well coached ,extremely good administration, fantastic draft selection to compliment their list, massive membership & as much as I hate them they are so professional with most things they do( the current regime that is) we could only wish to be that successful.1965 Saint wrote: ↑Sat 16 Mar 2019 12:26am Natanui and Gaff. Both of these statements breached the rule. I shall counter by saying that Gubby is much admired for his results (despite some feeling he double deals - and who doesn’t double deal in his line of work) AND Finnis is highly regarded as a CEO by other CEOs and by the governing body. Also his achievements as CEO in terms of return to Moorabbin and the hew stadium deal etc havecset us up for the future. Having said that I agree that a week is harsh for the breach. The rule needs a tweak to allow for a one day ban for minor breaches like this one. I shall update the rule and revise the ban to one day.

Re: 2019 Season a disaster already
Only on SS. DH is right, quite a few positive posts a few days/weeks ago about the many changes and how the Saints were travelling before the Roberton/McCartin incidents, and now the club is a basket case? What else has happened? I must have missed something. What disastrous actions have the club taken? Signed Marsh, seems a good pickup, and Rowe, backup insurance in view of KPD shortages. What's wrong with that? Anything else? Are the spate of injuries the fault of the club?skeptic wrote: ↑Sat 16 Mar 2019 12:41amMmm...Devilhead wrote: ↑Fri 15 Mar 2019 10:57pm Quite amazing - a few days back everything was looking up and the club seemed to be on the right track with the move back to Moorabbin, new coaching appointments and new draftees all having positive impacts - there was definitely light at the end of the tunnel ...... but now ..... a couple of injuries down the track ....... the club is a clusterfk our officials are toxic and the sky is falling down

Certainly not good news for Robbo and Paddy, but contrary to the numerous statements on here, neither retired this week. Dylan may yet play again, and Paddy we do not know. You would think if he was taking extended time off or retiring it would have been announced before the SSP signings expired. I guess we will know in coming weeks. I certainly won't be relying on SS for what is happening.
In any event, we will be playing 22 matches this year, the team has shown some good signs, including resilience when challenged, we will have the chance to see quite a few new players perform, many others are reaching AFL maturity for their prime years, and I for one as a supporter am really looking forward to the year.
