Stats comparison averages 2018:

Mav WELLER:
KICKS
7.1
HANDBALLS
8.8
DISPOSALS
15.9
MARKS
4.4

Jack MARTIN:
KICKS
11.6
HANDBALLS
6.2
DISPOSALS
17.8
MARKS
4.7

Aaron HALL:
KICKS
12.5
HANDBALLS
6.0
DISPOSALS
18.5
MARKS
4.8

All pretty similar numbers, a direct swap for either would be fair enough.
Aaron Hall averaged 26+ possessions over 2016 - 2017 seasons. Mav has played 2 career games in 120 with that many touches. Hall also has more goals from less games despite not playing forward like Mav.

Martin is a star and is first round trade material if we was to be traded - mostly likely to WA, not a bottom 4 victorian club.

Hall would be daylight robbery, Martin is pure fantasy.
Their stats this year are only slighter better than Mav. They are gettable.

If they won't do a direct swap then we should look at our future 2nd rounder or Hickey to be added in plus we get a 2nd or 3rd rounder come back our way for this year's draft.

To Gold Coast:
Mav Weller and Tom Hickey or future 2nd or 3rd rounder from 2019 draft

To Saints:
Aaron Hall or Jack Martin and GC 2nd or 3rd rounder for 2018 draft

I'm giving Lethers a call at Moorabbin right now to make it happen.

In essence, we upgrade our midfield and on Mav particularly plus we get back into this draft with a decent draft pick.
Plus we get rid of 2 x C graders that aren't going to get any better and are probably on 400-500k a season each.

Huh well there you go. The brother connection is there so it's a viable guess by Tom Brown.

I think Mav lost his mojo after his shocking ankle injury. Starting to get it back in the last few weeks.
Lol.
So 'shocking' he was playing in the VFL?

My god the Suns must be a desperate basket case.

I call BS.

Sounds like a rumour dropped by Mavs Manager desperate to get him another contract.
I heard it from a reliable ITK a few weeks ago. Mav wants to go to the GC, obviously his brother is there and I believe his family live on the Gold Coast.

Its going to happen, the only question is what we get.
There is truth in this of course.

If he wants to leave and its in everyone's best interests than a straight swap for Aaron Hall or Jack Martin would be fair enough. If not, a pick between 30-50.
If we get Jack Martin for Mav, I'll do a liitle jig.

Mavs parents & his brother are on the GC so it makes sense if there is interest from him.

We would get a late 3rd or 4th rounder at best, but who knows, they gave up #2 for his brother
They might give up something for Mav.
You said it, if they coughed up 2 for his brother they can cough up a second rounder for Mav.

If we got GC's fourth round pick for Mav and either Adelaide or Port's fourth round pick, I'd consider it one of the greatest trades in AFL history. If we got a pick in the 20s for Mav Weller, I would call the police.

That deal would be the best Saints trade since Carslile & Gresh for Arron Francis.

Seriously why would they give up an A grade talent like Martin (not saying an A grade player, but top end talent) for a C grade ruck and a D grade small forward, even if you throw in a future pick.
Maybe you'd get something on Hall, but not Martin IMO.

Suns will be desperate. They are losing Lynch (95%) and maybe Swallow. It seems Hall wants out too.

Anything could happen, but yes, Hall is more likely.

Noddy, you actually have to like yourself and life before you can start liking Saints players. I don't think Con likes much.

Yeah Mav. He was really strong for us. Really competitive and strong at the conteast. A real leader.
Hes got a hard body. Rock hard. His work in the pre-season and especially at the camps really stood out. It stood out a lot. I was very impressed.
When most of the group were resting or asleep Mav was still working his body. Working it hard.
Now we are seeing that work pay off.
You really are pathetic. I take it from your name that you are somewhere north of 50 but every topic you find a way to get this type of juvenile post into the discussion

I can see you standing behind the seats on level one at the ground “ entertaining “ all around with your “witty” barracking

Pathetic
Pretty close to the mark Tezza.

I like to warm the crowd up in the first half. I'm usually on level 2 at etihad.

I do something a bit different at half time. A cabaret. A cooking show. The occasional live sex act with a goat.

I like to entertain those around me at the game.

I have to laugh with some of these proposed trades.
If Mav was to go to the suns we would get a 4th round pick at best.

Would be great to fleece the GCS in a Weller trade, like good Ro$$y did.

Jack Martin is a good player but I think he is contracted for a while.
IMO Hall isn't very good.

How about pick 38 thereabouts and a swap of pick 4 for pick 2, so they get 3 and 4 not 2 and 3.
Will mean we get Walsh, rankine or likoscious (sic)

Absolutely dreaming if anyone thinks a straight swap for Weller for either Suns player will happen. Although Hall is not as good as martin. You would presume that Suns talent scouts would know how Mav has been playing. The stats are also unreliable, even the underlings average 15 possessions a game. The bundle sounds the best option but would Dew take Lonie and co?

Hey Fremantle screwed them over good and proper when GC wanted Lachie. Why can't we over Mav.
