I don't think he has totally abandoned the forum - he was just on it a minute ago. Just to carry on your ludicrous theory, if Jaxons was Ameet, he would be best to stay on the forum and find out sensational saintsational info which would be vital for his new club?

This part he played is to be commended!saynta wrote:Bains was one of the key players in the Saints’ push to return to Moorabbin, which will take place early next year. Previously, he played a significant role in shaping St Kilda’s playing list.

Ok but you realise we just finished 11th?takeaway wrote:The opposite of 'dumb operator'Con Gorozidis wrote:What does 'smart operator' mean?takeaway wrote:Who said he was a hero/guru/genius? Just a very smart operator, like many others in similar positions at AFL clubs. They have to be, or they don't last long.
On saintsational irrational posters can carry on for years
We didn't make finals once in Bains time at the club let alone win a final. Six years. No finals.
Just not sure what criteria you use to determine how great and smart he is.
I assume you don't use any objective criteria.

Are you suggest I was serious about Jaxons being Bains or Con? I hope the latter.takeaway wrote:I don't think he has totally abandoned the forum - he was just on it a minute ago. Personally I believe we can do better than Bains.

That would not surprise at all.Waltzing St Kilda wrote:Any possibility that he's jumped ship because the rebuild has failed?
And that's why we're going to the draft with so many picks? Because the window is still years away?
And the club is reluctant to admit that, for obvious reasons?
When you look at this objectively he's walking out the door with a job half done (right now we don't have star on the list so you'd say or half done is debatable). Let's also be clear - he hasn't left for a powerhouse role or club....... he's gone to the dogs
Something smells odd here but "move on before I'm measurable and while my credit is intact" appears plausible..corporate survival 101...... the old "I did the restructure......I'm a change agent... someone else can sort out the carnage...."
Leadership full of these a holes

It's not the actual suit.saynta wrote:You got something against people who go to work in a suit?Con Gorozidis wrote:Personally I believe we can do better than Bains.

I am making a point that Bains is a company man sent from HQ. He is part of the AFL boys club. Same as Simon Lethlean etc. It is a mindset and type at the AFL that I am referring to.
Nothing against the suit. I am not being literal.

Thanks for your service, Ameet.
Does this mean now that trout is fully in charge of the upcoming draft picks?

Dear Ameet
Congratulations on your elevation to CEO of an AFL team. Thank you very much for your years of service to my beloved club.

+1
He is leaving before his con job is figured out.
The club has been good at PR and media in the last five years but the cold hard truth is we are an irrelevant average club that is just a fixture entry for the AFL.
After six well paid years Bains has left us with a bog average list.

If we are so irrelevant like north can you treat us accordingly and take your "bog average" gripes elsewhere?

Bains can visit as a guest without logging in as 'jaxons' and nobody would ever know, he wouldn't leave a digital footprint
2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Con, Then have you got something against robots then? I like R2D2 and The Robot (a B-9 Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot) in lost in spaceCon Gorozidis wrote:It's not the actual suit.saynta wrote:You got something against people who go to work in a suit?Con Gorozidis wrote:Personally I believe we can do better than Bains.

Hell I even have robot vacuum cleaner that I've named "Rosie" - after the Jetsons maid robot.
If I get another one , think I'll call him Ameet and put a suit on him ...and I'll start a thread just so you can bag him.

Thinking of a replacement... SOS from Gws to Carlton seems to have helped the blues acquire players, maybe we should do something similar, someone who already has personal links with a player or two we are targeting... at least it wouldn't hurt
