No visible tatts. Appears to have all of his teeth. Not ditched under Bucks' scorched earth d/head obliteration policy.SaintPav wrote:All I know is that he was scum of the earth 6 months ago and now he's a great bloke.

And his interviews have been nothing but humble and demonstrating good attitude. Can't ask for much more in a recruit.SemperFidelis wrote:No visible tatts. Appears to have all of his teeth. I reckon you're smart enough to work it out... not cryptic or difficult?! ....I'm giving you some credit, perhaps I shouldn't?...
Maybe if people are that simple that they can't follow a conversation, I'll have to?..
Question
If you're in a group, when you make comment or retort, do you have to preface that by repeating the comment you're referencing?

The difference is… in a normal conversion in a room people can look at each other when they are talking, you don't have that option when chatting in a forum so you quote a person you are talking to.BigMart wrote:Question

It's just a basic, minimum level of courtesy and that is why it is part of the rules of this place… the fact that you refuse just confirms a lack of respect for others in this community.
Imagine if everyone else refused to quote too, the place wouldn't function.
Pure arrogance.

Re: Nathan Brown- opinions please
The measure of Nathan Brown will be how he does in close games.
It's easy to look good with a dominant midfield or a well functioning defence
Equally, key defenders get a really bad wrap for being beaten when the team is smashed. A Jack Riewoldt gets pristine delivery and hence gets off the lead...
It's very easy in that scenario for a defender to look rubbish and they get judged harshly.
How Brown does in an even contest will be his measure

Re: Nathan Brown- opinions please
I am surprised the comments on him are so harsh; he was far from our worst and definitely prevented a bigger blowout.
And given it was like a Bangkok sauna in there I reckon he covered a fair bit of ground for a big bloke.
Happy to reserve judgment for a few more weeks.

Stephen Silvagni wouldn't have defended well in that game
The midfield was badly beaten, turnovers were horrendous and
But agree he was outpointed a bit
Carlisle was worse imo
He didn't even go near his opponent, the kid beat him, Watts and Hogan
Jake was crap, Nath was not good either
It is one game though

With ya, Semp. Neither Carlisle not Brown were the problem. People need to look at the 4 around them (whomever the 4 may have been at different times), and the complete lack of midfield contribution after 1/4 time.SemperFidelis wrote:I am surprised the comments on him are so harsh; he was far from our worst and definitely prevented a bigger blowout.

Standing in the Victory Room at 3/4 time, an associate looked at his device and said the possession count for the 3rd 1/4 was 140+ to 70 odd.
Nathan Brown could have been Superman, but he couldn't resist that sort of imbalance.
We whipped through the performances of the Leadership Group post game - oh dear!
Just watched Richo's post game summary - 2nd 1/4 1.6 to 7 straight.
I'd prefer Mav to ditch 'Mav's World', and spend more time on set shot practice. Blokes with years (min 5) of consistent performances might just be able to cope with distractions like PR efforts, but our performance today suggests some aren't coping as we would hope.
Very dangerous, getting ahead of yourself.

Re: Nathan Brown- opinions please
Buckley didn't seem to care that Brown left the Pies, even if it meant he had no Key Defenders.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
