Great qtr Saints. Broken record stuff to even mention the umpires. I think we've had one free.

That quarter shut Watson up.
Umpires still cheating.
Saints still not maning up.
Great quarter from them though.

just not comfortable kicking for goal at AFL level yetCon Gorozidis wrote:For a supposedly brilliant kick a career total of 24.30 is not good enough for Billings.
I am old enough to remember Nicky Winmar, one of the best kicks we have seen at the club, early in his career would miss set shots... but once comfortable he never really missed them

Great quarter. Fight, composure and then making Melbourne pay. So crucial to take your chances. Petracca misses from 25 metres, Saints stay in front and Melbourne don't get any momentum. Then bang bang two in a row and we're 13 points up.

Stadium roof nearly lifted off when Gears kicked those two. Bloody fantastic. Rule of the week is no holding the ball unless the crowd goads you into it.
Even the people around me who don't usually say boo were screaming blue murder.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Demons @ Edihad Round 17
thought this was an interesting little snippet from the afl website
St Kilda stifled Melbourne's run-and-carry in the second quarter. After allowing the Demons to have 70 handball receives in the first term, the Saints just allowed their opposition to record just 34 handball receives in the second stanza.

Someone just brought to my attention that umpire number 12 is the same one who had a problem with us from the Hawthorn game. Can anyone confirm that?
Still waiting for closure ... if you get my drift.

Thanks. That umpire should never again be allowed to officiate in a game involving us.Jacks Back wrote:Yes, that is correct and I was just about to say the same thing.ctqs wrote:Someone just brought to my attention that umpire number 12 is the same one who had a problem with us from the Hawthorn game.
