If you are Josh Gibson and a 'man about town' who has a few lines of coke over summer and you already have 3 flags to your name = everyone loves you.
If you are a middle of the road Pies player who parties hard over summer and then you get beaten by 100 points in Rd 1 = you are in some strife.

I assume drinking is fine. The only problem is that you can put on weight easily due to
the high calories in booze. Take a pill and that isn't an issue. Maybe that's part of the reason for drugs over grog.

Re: Collingwood players tested positive
I think there is a differentiation and a key concern between alcohol and drugs.
Firstly both are unnecessary for an AFL footballer wanting the best out of their body AND mind IMHO.
Differentiation: rightly or wrongly one is illegal
Concern: one is not standardised and performing enhancing ingredients could be included without the users knowledge and result in 2 to now 4 year bans!

Cant wait for the ANZAC day block buster between the performance enhancers and the illicit.
Should be a great day.
They are both in "cracking" form...... see what I did there

Re: Collingwood players tested positive
At a high level the players have to agree to the testing of non performance drug testing hence why its confidential and the system is not tougher than the 3 strikes process.
Anything more stringent wouldn't get the system across the line and there would be no testing at all.

A poster on Big Footy has posted a table that has the Hawks on top with a whopping 21 positives. St Kilda mid table with 9.

How do you know Josh Gibson does Coke?Con Gorozidis wrote:If you are Josh Gibson and a 'man about town' who has a few lines of coke over summer and you already have 3 flags to your name = everyone loves you.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Yes and throughout history at times alcohol was illegal and heroin legal...BackFromUSA wrote:I think there is a differentiation and a key concern between alcohol and drugs.

Im beginning to think the "only" people fit to judge are those that are drug tested at work and then take it a step furrher - are drug tested while on holidays.

Port Adelaide, 11 players.
Discussed the issue of the Essendon drug saga with a mate (Port official) when he threw up that 11 Port players tested positive to drugs in an out of season hair test. Because the tests are anonymous the club has no way of finding out who the 11 are. This conversation took place at least 6 weeks ago.

Re: Collingwood players tested positive
Just to clarify. Is it number of players or number of +ves? For instance some players may have 2 positives?Grrrrr wrote:Kate wrote:A poster on Big Footy has posted a table that has the Hawks on top with a whopping 21 positives. St Kilda mid table with 9.

Might be 7 Port players + 11 +ve tests?

Re: Collingwood players tested positive
I was told 11 players, not 11 tests results came back as positive. I'm not sure whether or not players were tested more than once in out of season testing?Con Gorozidis wrote:Just to clarify.
