Last year we had 24 members contributing 126 shares at $20 each.
That means Mr Magic was about $1,500 out of pocket.

We need to know now how many are interested and how many shares.

Unfortunately I doubt there will be enough interest this year to sponsor one player.

It may not be up to date but its even worse than that. It seems that only 71 paid. I really hope those who committed paid.

Money doesn't grow on trees and people have other financial demands that come before sponsoring a player so if we can't sponsor a player so be it.
A mod needs to give the OK, we need to quickly get an idea of interest and then quickly get the money to Plugger.

I have been given the ok to collect money for the club so we can hopefully sponsor at least one player and even more if possible. Unlike MM, who for years did a magnificent job, I don't have the money to put up front and then collect. I will need to collect first and then when we get enough money for one player we may then see if when can get another.

Please I beg of you not to make this a personality thing. No matter how much you like or dislike my posting this is all about our great club. We sponsored two players last year and if we don't get enough to sponsor at least one player this year its the club who misses out on the money, not me. I can assure you me posting things you disagree with doesn't equate to me being dishonest. I will get every cent I get to the club and I will conduct the draws completely honestly. I will do exactly what MM does and buy shares but I wont include myself in the draws.

Now the point of this first post is to find interest only. Its not about getting money yet. For the next week I need people to tell me how many shares they want and a players name. We can probably only afford the cheapest category so the likes of Steven are out. I will be hounding this thread over the next week as I really want every poster to at least read it and hopefully agree to giving the club some money. It will be still $20 a share.

Also if someone knows how BF or any other Saints footy site does their sponsorship can they please share it with me. The more knowledge and idea's the better.

We need to sell 100 shares. I think the minimum player sponsorship is 2K. It isn't going to be easy as I think MM put in a hell of a lot of his own money. I don't think people realise how much.

I hope that everyone gets behinf Plugga in this.

The reason why I stopped helping to run the Sponosorship years ago (I got involved when the first organiser jumped ship to BigFooty) was being hounded by a particular poster that seemed to think that he and his son should be given special treatment and would absolutely crack it whenever they did not win one of the random prize draws.).

So please give him a fair crack and keep any other football matters in the appropriate thread/s and not in Sponsorship Threads or PM's.

I have not bought a share for a while, but put me done for two to help kick things off again.
