Jake gave lots of encouragement to the boys.
10 x 400m in under 60 seconds. Wow, they're awesomely fit. Makes me realise just how good they are as athletes.

My mate played for Sydney in the early 80's when they had to do 100 100's and weren't even allowed water in between. Maybe the silliest thing in footy.
That's insane.

Just doing 1 x 400m under 60 secs would put you up there as a very good athlete would it not?
Minimum qualifying time for the Rio olympics for 400 metres is 49.5. So if you can run 400 metres in 49.5 you're good enough to go to the Olympics. 10 x 400m under 60 seconds is pretty impressive.
Qualifying time for the Aussie team is more like 46.5. But 10 under 60 with 60secs recovery is very impressive fitness wise. I doubt there would be anyone in the AFL who would go under 50 - the Hill brothers would probably be close though.

and the "old' Guys are back tomorrow- well the middle aged ones anyway- I think veterans can still have a couple more-- and those on International duty no doubt get a week to get home.

will the Cameras be at Seaford early enough to see if Jake is On Time.....

I'm hoping that's our new skipper this year. ARmo was a brilliant leader last year. He's in the perfect age bracket to have respect and seniority on the field but still connect with the young players. Time to take a bit of the load of Roo after his carrying the captainship for so long. It would be the perfect signal that the new generation of St Kilda is now officially borne and make a symbolic break from the heartbreaks of the past (whilst learning from them of course)

Thanks for the photo's. For the guys that have managed to see some of the session, I was wondering:
Does any one know how Murdoch and Lee are travelling, are they doing a full pre-season with the main group?

the navy want ur players
-Katherine Mulheron ;Thanks Karyn! I have to say that they have been a pleasure to host.
Their attitude and willingness to give their all has been inspirational. There's an amazing amount of talent among those young men and their support staff. Now, if we could just steal them away to join Navy....
Katherine,

Talking about Markworth, he's still on the banner here at SaintSational from 2014.
