Brandon is a very nice player....

He's a combination of Webster and Gilbert.... Good overhead, courageous, a loping glide across the turf, low flat fast kick.

He will be the best of this years crop IMO as he has the most development left body wise.

Rice and Gresham are very strong bodies.... Both will have some limitations. The size of Greshams legs concern me... They are massive. Whilst he maybe quick off the mark, powerful.... He is not quick after 10m. He will be a player, but will have some limitations physically.... Also, I don't rate Rice at the moment... I did in the U18s, very highly and was rapt we got him... But in the seniors he looks slow, sluggish, and kicking not as deep as it looks in the juniors... TBH an outside player he is slow. He reminds me of Leigh Fisher.
His body shape is too heavy and he has no running power

Well that's depressing.

Don't let it get you down.

Some on here are very quick to judge!

"...But in the seniors he looks slow, sluggish, and kicking not as deep as it looks in the juniors..."

How many seniors games has he played?

One???

Coming off glandular fever and a severely compromised first pre season.

Let's give Rice a little bit more time to come to the boil Image

Yes, it's been a criticism of me in the past... Too quick to judge.

Lucky I've been wrong so often.

Some players limitations are not noticed until they are out of the TAC Cup.

Rice is very slow... Unfortunately. Even before his Glandular Fever bout, he recorded a beep test that I can beat... And a poor 20m.

BTW
Does anyone know Gresham's endurance testing numbers?

Are we talking you being wrong or admitting to being wrong?

Those figures are quite different, completely at odds you might say.

Gees Gresham was good yesterday so if White is better than him I can't wait. Gresham looks like Jack steven clone to me has some terrific attributes and looks like he could play every game from round one and keep up with the pace. He has a bit of a fat arse and legs and skinny top so I reckon he will thin down rather than get those big Petracca thighs. Anyway even if he doesn't thin down he could be a little midfield bull like Dion Prestia.

Me too quick to judge... And cannot suggest White maybe better eventually than Gresham, after Gresham has played two halves of footy???

If we judge people after their first few games

Arryn Sipposs, Terry Milera, Eli Templeton, Leigh Fisher, Spencer White , Justin Kosi are gunna be champions

Brendon Goddard, Jason Blake, Jason Gram, Sean Dempster, David Armitage are gunna be spuds

White
Is a better mark, a better kick, taller, tougher, quicker than the others...

Gresham
is ready made, very smart, finds the ball uses it neatly. His hands off the deck are clean

Both will be good players
Brandon is very raw and under developed

I see a little Birchall/Elliiott Yeo in him.

Hard to pin Gresham
Nathan Jones but not as quick
A smaller Ollie Wines??
Lewis Taylor?
Stokes, Christianson,

Both will be AFL standard players

Gresham 14.1 beep & 3s flat over 20 metres. Good endurance / speed combo

I hope you are right about White because from what I've seen, I think Gresh will establish himself as a regular with a year or 2 and barring injury will play a lot of senior footy.

Rice sounds like he is starting from a long way back - but I reckon the club is looking at him as a longer term prospect - who needs a couple of years to build an AFL body - similar to NOK but different ends of the body shape spectrum. I haven't seen him play yet so I'm going to reserve my judgement until I can see him play in the flesh.

3 flat for 20 is not real quick
Nor
Is 14.1 an elite beep test

In context
Barry Brooks ran a 3sec 20m
Raphael Clarke ran a 14 beep

The Jack Steven comparison is a strange one... Jack has express pace
He ran a 2.89 20m

Agree with BigMart on White. But he will be starved of opportunities this year and perhaps next to play off half back with Roberton, Gilbert and even McKenzie ahead of him for the spot off half back he shall eventually dominate in. The boy goes in very hard but beyond that can mark, can run and can kick.
