jonesy wrote:Personally I'm more concerned with match day selection the past 4-6 weeks than trying to lose, try to win,but do it with youth.
Don't know why Daniel McKenzie has been made to run around in the 2's since being concussed against Brisbane? Game time required for Acres also, not being made sub, then given a full game, and dropped again. By all means play each game with aggression like a sledgehammer like we have which has been great, but lets try and do it with the balance tipped in the youth direction. I just feel the last 6 weeks we have swayed towards the older guys to much which maybe fine if you are a chance at the 8,we clearly have never been. A step in the right direction last week with the two big boys in,hopefully they get a good run at it now. Just like to see Acres and McKenzie brought back in and given the remainder of the season
Im sure they will get another run but both have been injured. Still don't gift games no matter what the position on the ladder. I would think the club really think this is a winnable game so maybe not the week for these guys. There are 6 games left after this and most if not all will be losses so there should be plenty of changes in that period. Most players will get their chance I think.

No worries.
Ok.
These new rules suit me.
... its actually good to know that any respect , consideration ,
support for commonsense 'n a fair go
is now OFFICIALLY worthless & pointless
AND actively worked against by those pretending to give a damn about community cohesion and or standards.
Bravo , Moderator.
Bravo.
Thanx for killing off Simons Sham.
Your third attempt to get a reaction. Obviously I'm the one who's baiting here.

I'm happy to let the mods do what they want, anyone that can be bothered herding the cats on here should be given any kind of freedom they want. They can bait the crap out of people as far as Im concerned.

Tonight Caaaarlton are making a strong statement against Hawthorn that they are passionate about finishing last.
With just two goals to 3/4 time it looks like Ange Pot of glue is actually coaching them!
Please don't bring Carltank into this.
They have just experienced their greatest loss in 118 years and on Friday Night Footy. At least 90% of their fans were at the G watching Spanish Ronald do his tricks and missed it!
What does that mean?
It means Carlton are crap and EM and I love rubbing their noses in it.
Spanish Ronald is some bloke called Ronaldo who can draw 99K at the G for an exhibition match. My wife thinks he and his teammates are hot.

And to think I thought you were saying most carlton supporters are Italian and that's why they would be at the soccer. Of course that wasn't what you meant.

No you fool most Carlton fans aren't Italian - a lot are and yes a lot would've been at the soccer as I said. Probably a lot from several other clubs with a high euro supporter base.

It's a pretty light bit of fun...
Kosi is just another poster who has volunteered to cleanup the odd pant-soiling... He's not Ban Ki-moon.

Im not sure that means he then cant have an opinion or ask questions. If people don't like a mod doing that there is a couple of simple answers. Either chip in and pay a mod or just leave the site. it isn't compulsory to be on here even though I may think it is. The funny thing is even if you did pay a mod eventually they would be biased. We all are. And even funnier is the question is fair enough. How is it baiting? Imagine if this question was asked on the Hawks fan forum. The only thing the person asking the questioned would be questioned about is this guy a real supporter. They would all want to win.
Im no fan about some mods but I respect that it is an unpaid job and they have as much right as everyone else on here to ask any question they like. Funny that most who don't like the question also don't care about the result tomorrow.
Anyway back on topic I hope we have a huge win on Sunday. Go saints.
No wonder we lose mods if this question is an issue. Don't like it then bye bye.
good lord
it went straight over someones head huh
obviously its a sly dig at teffs and others from weeks ago when we were discussing losing and wining and who would prefer what
dont be stupid plugger, u know this as you were rather vocal about that win/loss thingy
its a sly bait
no prob with it, think its a fun dig myself
im always up for a bit of a sly dig, just admit it when you do it
if we dont beat melb and beat them well then we are further off than i thought

That ought to buy you another month at least of solid thread jacking!!!
And you had the cheek to call me a stalker. By the way teffers I hope we beat Melbourne so we go above them on the ladder. No real conclusive proof over 30 years that pick 6 will be any worse than pick 5. I do know a top pick will be better than pick 43. You told me that gem.
well im glad I taught you something plugs
it was hard work and took some time but we got there
and win against Dees? unfortunately the poll doesn't offer a 'meh' vote cause that's me!!
bring in Darcy please......im after a flag big fella not getting over excited by beating side 18 on ladders...
Top picks. Relevance to us is what? Emotive? I would say so. Is there any proof pick 5 is better than pick 6 in 30 years of drafting? Lets just win tomorrow and the picks will take care of themselves.
so having a CHOICE at pick 5 is not better than pick 6 - please elaborate grasshopper cause I thought you were finally getting it....

spot on matrix
look I don't mind a sly dig and me thinks plugs just wants some friends and kosi is a bud of his and that's cool - I think its nice when others help those in need.
WS does have a point here though.......volunteer or not being a mod is a choice you make...no one forces you to do it. IF you put yourself up for it you ought to uphold the standards of behaviour the site rules aspire to and baiting isn't part of that.
Otherwise we end up with mods picking/choosing when behaviour is/isn't appropriate and no one knows whats acceptable then.

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
Lose for a higher pick. What crap.
