Would love to see Markworth get a game to inject a bit of speed into the team. Dunell can take Webster's spot and Roberton can take Gwilt's spot.

In: Markworth, Dunell, Roberton
Out: Steven (inj), Webster (rest), Gwilt (omitted)

This was prophetic Jonesy, 3 goals in the first quarter.

Only it was CJ who he slaughtered from the first bounce.

Given that we've got the bye this week I'm not sure why Webster would need a rest. He actually looked good yesterday. Is Steven injured? Seemed to get through game ok. Would like to know what's up with Delaney though.
From all reports Sandy weren't too impressive. Ross went ok but I'm not sure Markworth is ready yet.

To be fair to CJ, Ablett is a freak. I'm beginning to think he's one of the best players I've ever seen.

Absolutely… however I don't think we are gaining much long or short term with CJ in the side currently.
Saunders/Dunell/Ross are not all going to make it, but we are not going to find out which will unless they get a good run in the 1's.
Maybe Ablett would have a couple more goals and a few more kicks if Weller or Curren had taken him yesterday, but they may have gained some serious education in the process.

All the flat-footed midfield were chasing Suns from the first bounce thanks to the lack of any obvious defensive tactics- fix it Richo!. Ablett is Ablett, and good luck to anyone including Jones who can keep him down when he is in the zone.

Haha!
Last night when I watched the little sook run around and do as he pleased with what appeared to be no opponent, then noticing CJ lagging 100 meters behind,I did remember this post..

Agree with this. Probably one of the reasons Shenton got a game was to see where he's at. We need to be able to make a call on a few players but it's a bit hard they haven't had an opportunity.
