Re: Armo
We really need to stop worrying about 09 and 10. Nothing will change. we all have our opinions and no0ne can be proven right or wrong. Let it go and worry about the future. By the way the day every single person on here is happy with our coach is the day i win powerball. I think that is about 8 million to one.
Re: Armo
eddy and mcqualter were never in the same class as armo.....neverTerrance80 wrote:Immature in 09/10 . Yes he played well when half the team was rested vs hawthorn but he was behind all of dal , bj , montagna, hayes , gram , ball , ray and jones when it came to midfield positions and maqualter and eddy played the pressure forward role better than him. He was stiff no doubt about it, so was jack steven but can't fit everyone in .
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Re: Armo
Well yes.
Both were delisted after the GF and Armo is in the leadership group and will finish top 5 in the B&F again
They never got remotely close to the top ten?!
Love Rob Eddy... As a back up
What was he playing in the GF..... I believe he was ranked 40 or worse in all of them?

Re: Armo
This might sound strange but I reckon Armo is the bell weather of the team. Struggled to get a guernsey under Ross, didn't click with Watters and treaded water. Under Richo he seems to have matured. I was really impressed in the Demons game where he had a hard tag with the guy up his clacker all game. Previously he would have drifted out of the game but instead he kept doing whatever he could for the team. When he kicked that great goal they all got around him cos they knew how hard he was working. He seems a really popular player and if he embraces the Richo system, the others will follow. He's never going to have Steven's class but if he keeps showing this level of commitment and team ethos, he could be the rock this team is based on ala Lenny.
Re: Armo
I thought he was good under Watters
900 possessions in 42 games
350 contested
160 Clearances
27 goals
220 tackles
13 Brownlow votes
Do we under sell Armo a bit... Considering it's not flashy easy ball possessions he often wins
Plus he is always understudy to an ALL TIME great

Re: Armo
I must admit I didn't even have Armo in the top 5 players from the weekend. Just didn't notice him to be honest. Easy to do when looking at the amount of footy he one on the inside. 17 of his 29 touches were contested. On reflection he was certainly in the top 5, probably have him only behind Riewoldt.
Someone mentioned he seems to have matured, new haircut, new image etc. certainly looks more like a leader, not that that's the be all and end all (image). Hopefully he's taking his leadership within the group seriously, it certainly looks like it. Just hope he can remain consistent which had been his Achilles heal.
