Not surprised he won the B&F, makes the decision to pay a player more that your club captain look really good, in a year where poor decision making was the undoing of the club.
And dont their supporters love it, makes them feel all good about themselves again.
Jobe should have been so far ahead after the first 10 rounds if it was fair dinkum.
More spin from the spin kings.

Good riddance Goddard- clearly played in preservation mode in his last year with us, with one eye firmly on more money from elsewhere.

Gundy or Grundy.... Who kicked 10 in a champs game for SA in 06 and was rated highly by their coach.... But fell to the rookie draft due to percieved lack of pace and has since played 100 games at 24 at CHB with a premiership

Darling.... The guy who would have gone pick 3 in 2009 but slipped to 26 in 2010 because he is was a hell raiser? But has been an exemplary citizen who has played 50+ games in three seasons as a Key Fwd now 21?

They were not just overlooked by StK... But a few others.... Mistakingly

Went back 32 pages and still cant work out who you are replying to. I have an idea. If its over a quote or two ago how about quoting the person so we can work out if you are talking really goodly or really badly.

And those players were not overlooked by a few others. They were overlooked by every single club at least once and in one players case about 4 times so every single fan forum would have a person saying the same as you even WCE and the Swans.
The clue to who he is replying to is in the first word. What he's replying to is another question.

I am really surprised he won the best and fairest, he had a good year but not a great year. He would have come 4th at best in our B&F Steven, Roo and Monty had much better years than BJ had with the Bombers.

Moods wrote:I know this probably belongs on opposition forum - but thought it interesting. No way he played as well as he did in 09/10 yet couldn't snag a B&F. Maybe bombers list not as strong as they think - or maybe he was the only one still concentrating the last 4 weeks of the season?
he was easily their best player.....

Would you say

Mistakingly overlooked.... Particularly in Gruny's case..... Who was overlooked more than 4 times by each club?

Huge mistake on a guy who dominated the champs.... Sydney got a blue chip in the RD as we did with Jarryn Geary?

But you can't actually say that about EVERY team can you? That they mistakingly overlooked?

Even in Darlings situation, players were taken ahead of him who WERE and still are better, therefore some clubs rightfully overlooked him!!!! Jamie Cripps not in that's category though is he??

Swallow, Bennell, Gaff, Prestia, Conca, Heppell, Polec and a few others in that draft.... All solid picks... Darling easily sits amongst that group ATT.... Perhaps re-done he'd be only behind Heppell... In hindsight... But none of those clubs would be shattered....

Brisbane and us in particular were silly to pass on him

You just dont get it at all do you BM. Yes players may have been taken ahead of these guis but by not taking these guys at that pick it meant others could have taken them. Surely a teacher of basic play time could work that out. Every single club passed on these players and some passed on them many times. Yep there were only 2 clubs that really stuffed up and we were the worst in your opinion. You are a genuine joke and I must say a very funny joke at that. Who are the players we need to take this year or should I ask you in June 2015?
