we should try to get that Witts guy that the Pies supporters all talk up if they get Hickey. Apparently he's tall and is a gun- but then that's from Pies supporters so fairly unreliable source.Sick Nal Danto wrote:Pretty easy decision for Hickey

Re: Hickey
Magpie gm on radio said they have no interest in hickey due to salary cap. Definite no. So we should be in box seat
Re: Hickey
Pies have to run out of money eventually, we have heaps to spend. Hickey will be our unless oe of those rubbish clubs burn a very good pick on him

Re: Hickey
If we spend any more than Pick 34 on Hickey I'd be disappointed. Even 34 is a tad too much...

It can basically be done and even announced however officially it can't be done to Monday when paperwork is lodged.Teflon wrote:this deal will be announced tomorrow.

Re: Hickey
I would have liked the deal to be done before the compensation pick was announced as it could muddy the waters a bitOld Mate wrote:It can basically be done and even announced however officially it can't be done to Monday when paperwork is lodged.Teflon wrote:this deal will be announced tomorrow.

a pick in the 30's for hickey is cheap, a lower pick in the 20's or heaven forbid a two way deal for 13 will be expensive
and I think the suns were waiting to see if we got 13

Re: Hickey
It'll either be pick 37 or 25. From what I've read the deal with Saints/GCS/Hickey was agreed upon on Thursday it's just gotta be signed off. Not sure what pick for sure though. So many goddam rumours floating around.

Re: Hickey
I would happily part with pick 25 for a 201cm 22yr old ruckman who has some AFL experience.evo wrote:Saintersss wrote:So people want to give Pick 25 for a player who won't be in our best 22?
More chance than speculative draft pick 25 probably !

Re: Hickey
West Coast's draft picks just became 41, 61, 62, 81, 99, 117, 135
St Kilda has picks 13, 25, 37, 46, 57 , 77, 95, 113, 131
That's after the free agent compensation picks are added in.

Re: Hickey
Reports today Gold Coast want pick 13 for Hickey,, Talk about overs! No way. The wanted everything from us for Caddy, but when it came to the crunch too a lot less from Geelong. Maybe they have have soft spot since they have Ablett. Anyway pick 13 must be used for the National draft IMO.
