Before everyone goes off like a headless chook, wait until we see our "net gain" through the draft selections too.

I reckon there is more to come ... Tom is a gun in the WAFL

How many goals did he kick this year compared to Wilkes last year? One person had him 30 to rookie in the phantom draft.

Yeah that was what stuck out for me "while his goal tally in the WAFL is even more impressive given he started the season as a key defender". His positioning as a utility could be very handy.

Hopefully he's our Tom Hawkins . He was close to being shown the door in 2011 and look how he turned out b& f in 2012. Some of these big forwards take a while to match it with the big boys but when they turn the corner - look out.

The same guy who played a shocker in the 2011 WAFL grand final who noone even rookied last year???
How can he be 12?
Makes zero sense.
Apparantly he was injured in that game. He did kick 60 goals after moving forward about round 7, so not even a full year up foward.

Yeah, but pick 12? Maybe our second round draft pick and also involving a swap of picks, maybe..

This means that the club's first round pick has been used on a player of known quality rather than a raw youngster.
This has to be a good thing because it means they can't waste the first round pick on some kid who should really be taken in the third round.

We all know that based on past performance, the club's recruiters can not be trusted to use a first round pick wisely at the draft.

Last year they turned pick 20 into Saad, Milera & Seb Ross.

What are they going to turn pick 12 into this year? Wow. Really didn't see this coming. They must know they have pick 13 coming for BJ.

So what picks do we have now (assuming we have 13 for BJ)?

13, 24, 34, 43, 53, 71

Assuming there will be further movement (picks out for HIckey & Brown, something in for Ray?)....

There was a whisper of 13 and Clarke for Caddy and Hickey. If they pull off that miracle I'll buy an extra membership....

He wasnt pick 12...we got two other picks with him....maybe now we wont have to use pick 98. It fits with the new socialist thing at the club.

I reckon we can rule out Caddy now. I will go wiith pick 24 for Hickey and Cripps and 43 for Brown.

In the WAFL

Lee kicked 19.14 last year (2011) from 21 games

This year (2012) Lee kicked 60.20 (75% accuracy) from 21 games

Last year (2011) Wilkes kicked 42.14 from 20 games

Pavlich didn't even get drafted the first year he was in the draft. This means far call.

That's great news...

Seems a good prospect.

Would really like us to fill our glaring holes though.

When I first read the deal I was extremely pissed off. After seeing his highlights video.. He looks really promising.
Very agile for his height, his kicks went dead straight. Few freakish goals around the body. And also a crucial thing is that he looks to be a one touch player. One grab marks every time. As well as reeling the ball in with one hand off the bounce beautifully, whilst turning his opponent inside out. Really looks the goods!!

Last year (2011) Wilkes kicked 42.14 from 20 games

So to me he may end up a 30-40 goals a season player if he is up to it. That would be a better option than Kosi at this stage of his career.

and it's reported he played the first seven games of 2012 in the backline. So that 60.20 is from 14 games....... that's more than 4 goals a game.
