I am the President of the "I hate Jason Gram" club. BUT, I have to admit he actually played well this week and should not be dropped. There were no glaring helicopter passes our squibbed contests for a change
Wilkes was quiet, but so were all the KPF's. Should be UP against his old team and in his home town! Should stay in.
CHANGES:
Out: Sipposs - Give him a couple of games back at Sandy to get his form up.
In: Ledger - Perfect for the BIG Subiaco ground. Probably as a Sub. (Being a WA lad gives some weight for mine)

Re: Changes for next week
Gram played really well, I thought. No change, but I'd maybe start Sipposs at ff and make Wilkes the sub. Give them a half each and see who does better as the third tall.
Gilbert is a worry being down on confidence like he is. He's lucky we won or I would have dropped him. Maybe needs a run on the wing or on the ball, freed up from having to guard an opponent. I don't know what's happened to him - he's a far better player than he's showing - but he needs to turn it around fast.

All the idiots on here bag the selection of Ray over ledger and opps
Now Gram who is vital on the big Subi ground with his run and carry and big kick, and Sipposs who had a decent enough game considering it was only twenty minutes gets dropped.
Goodness gracious, what in hell do some people think?
Lance or James??

Yeah, good drugs St P. But I'm a little confused by your post. Are you implying that I'm taking too many of them, or not enough?SaintPav wrote:Good drugs?

Re: Changes for next week
How far away is Adam Schnieder? If Saaaaaaaaady and Tezzzzzzzzza keep playing well I'd love Adam to run through the midfield then push forward.

Re: Changes for next week
The only Change I could see is probably
Out Wilkes
In Gwilt.
I know one is a forward and one is a backman, however if Nic Nat comes back we will need another strong defender to cover the resting ruckman up forward.

No change IMHO. Drop Gilbert to the sub to use his pace as an impact and give Sippa 4 quarters to show his wares.

Correct "markp" Clarke has rarely played a poor game at Subi.................... infact a couple of games was by far our our best, gutsy marking in defence and able to run and carry well. The dimensions of Subi & MCG seem to suit him most, doesn't get hemmed in as much.
Don't know about his match fitness though............ only one match to go by............ and he can always be relied upon to get crunched at some stage in a match as he is fearless. Just hope his body can hold up this season.............. as I'm a real fan of Raf.

Re: Changes for next week
Raph needs another game for Sandy. The second game back is aways the hardest and we can't afford him blowing up in this game.

Cripps
Siposs
Saad
Wilkes
All above have played footy with, or are currently playing with the Saints this year. Ledger has not, even though he was selected in rounds 1 & 2. None of the above's form has been better than Ledgers at Sandy.
No love affair. Just confusion.
Tell all us idiots why all the above have had an opportunity before Ledger.

Ledger played against the suns didn't he?

Re: Changes for next week
Raph needs 2 months at Sandy, with full game time and commanding performances before he is considered...
The last thing we need is our sub on in the first quarter of an away match v's WCE...
He has not got the runs on the board to come straight back in... In fact, quite the opposite.. He played his way out of our best 22 in the last 2 year, and he was lucky to be spared, so he needs to really earn his position back if he's good enough...
For mine, no change..

Cant see Gilbert being dropped, and dont think they'll take Fisher to W.A. with a suss hammy, so NO CHANGE.

Re: Changes for next week
I think Ledge is just for the fact that he plays as a pure midfielder where Cripps and Siposs are bigger players able mix the roles they play up. Ledge would have loved Montagna to get suspended because it would have opened a like for like situation.
If the selectors are sentimental some of the WA boys might get selected as emergencies if not subs.

Re: Changes for next week
Saints midfield against Caaaarlton was awesome. Ledger won't be coming in this week. Agree with most about keeping Beau in it'll stretch the defence. No change
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Changes for next week
Sen have said tonight Priddis is unlikely now. Couple that with Kerr being crook ,we have a great chance to ignite our season when it looked lost.
Bring back the Lockett era
Re: Changes for next week
Ledger has played full games for Sandy over the last 3 weeks. His stats have been 23, 28, & 24 in those games, playing in the midfield. He's playing well, but trying to break into the seniors team with such a strong midfield at the moment is nigh impossible.
Re: Changes for next week
Not so strong against Hawthorn??
Ledger should be close to a call up IMO
Form warrants it
