Hmmm...even Jack Darling didn't fall that far from grace! Very unusual if he was speculated as a top 50 pick and didn't make the grade.Bardon Saint wrote:Not sure but the afl.com.au Phantom Draft had him at 43? I'm not sure what can be read into that. I think he may have been available.degruch wrote:Reads pretty good...excuse my ignorance, but did he slip through? From the Phantom Draft:
Crisp really helped himself with an excellent draft combine, but there's more to him than his athleticism. He has an excellent endurance base and he uses that to constantly chase and tackle when he's not in possession. He averaged 19 disposals and seven tackles a game for the Bushrangers this year, with a season-high 13 against the Rebels.

Crisp has that steely resolve and 'the look in his eyes' of a kid that could play 200 games if his body lets him. If character is anything to go by, then this kid might be able to handle the rigours and demands of the modern footballer.thirty-seven!? wrote:Article on Crisp: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/e ... 6191970536

Dawson will be missed as he was a cog in the defence. We have to replace that cog (even though it is a small cog I.M.O.)
When occasionally he was found one on one with a bulkier forward, he didn't have the strength to counter them.
Give me Bob Murray, Cowboy, Frawley, Barker anyday.

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.
