Remember, our player development had been appalling under money-bags. It can only improve from here and Archer could be a beneficiary.

Im unsure how people know our player development was appalling under RL. They might not have played much because some just arent good enough but I'd be pretty sure the coaching development was pretty good. They certainly spent a lot of extra hours on coaching.

Worked well.....didnt it plugger....the countless hours

One innings in the middle....worth 15 net sessions...and opportunity was never entrusted upon a kid.....therefore development stagnated....

Steven and McEvoy......Got there opportunity only through injury...not at the expense of anyone...given extended opportunity what did they do.....GOT BETTER

Have you listened to the back end of Dean Laidley interview on SEN....not enough opportunity given....

David Armitage is the best example of our development.....
vs Hawthorn 2009
First half of the year 2011

His limited exposure in the midfield has stifled his development.....I remember him towelling Shaun Grigg in 2007 playing at Casey to win the ABC Player of the match....and thinking...wow I think we actually got this pick right (filthy we did not take Riewoldt)...then I watched him DOMINATE the first half of the season in 2009 at Sandy....he was clearly the best player and the team was flying.....I was dumbfounded when Eddy was added to the team in late 2009 when David had earned his chance

BTW
Why were we recruiting all of these guys who cant play....spending time and money on them...
Armitage, Miles, Smith, Archer, Winmar, Lynch, Geary

thought he did ok against richmond in round 2 , he is a big boy , once he gets a bit fitter he might be a good player for us . was a bit unlucky he was used as a ruckman this year for sandy , would of liked to see him hold down chf

Are you saying he's fat? I always thought he could lose a couple of kilos, but if you're saying he's fat, he must be fat.

I would think 'Hate' would be the wrong word-

how can you hate or even dislike when you haven't seen... as many would not have.
'Hate' seems personal and very few would have met let alone know Daniel.

continually see why they say the english language is reducing in the number of words being used within a persons vocabulary - people take the extreme and opposite with out using degrees.. and media are the worst. - excacerbated by txting.

He's a big puppy and plays with plenty of heart. St Kilda's answer to Leigh Brown?

it's really meant in a footy sense though... obviously few of us actually know him in anything other than a football sense

it's like when we call players hopeless... there is no one in the AFL system that is a hopeless player... the mere fact that they got there shows that they have serious talent

we say hopeless meaning hopeless at AFL level
