Maric looks like he should be a good ruckman, just hasn't got there yet. His value is only in the fact that there are a few looking for one. I would prefer Hamish Mc intosh or Bellchambers.stkildathunda wrote:Lynch for Maric i do agree would be a fair trade, but noway would i want us to give them pick 20 for him...Old Mate wrote:Maric 26 next year and entering his peak as a ruckman. All in all I think it's a fair trade for both parties.stkildathunda wrote:Must be why interested in Tom Lynch. Maybe straight swap or something. Adelaide want a first round pick for Maric, which is way overpriced.Old Mate wrote:Yep. Heard Pelchin say they were after someone to help out McEvoy in the ruck.stkildathunda wrote:AFL_LHolmesby Luke Holmesby
Crows say there is another team asking about Maric but wouldn't specify who. 10 mins earlier St Kilda said they're interested in a ruck.
Id say this post tells us why trades dont happen. Of course we would be happy but Adelaide wouldnt even be close to happy.St Ick wrote:What is the go with Stanley? I'd be happy to move on Lynch, Stanley and 3rd rounder for Gunston and Maric. Considering they'd lost Davis, Bock and Gunston, one would think they'd need a couple of KPP's

There has already been one: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/r ... 6163182624borderbarry wrote:Looks like no trades on the opening day.
i've thought bellchambers before (22 and had a good year in 2011 - 21 ho per game and 8 goals) but realistically hille is now 30 and somewhat injury prone and i don't know if they really want all their eggs in the basket of ryder being their ruckman alone if hille goes downgringo wrote:Maric looks like he should be a good ruckman, just hasn't got there yet. If Pelchen is keen then obviously he's a damaging left footer with superb foot skillsThe Redeemer wrote:But why? he is a below average nothing player?Dr Spaceman wrote:We'll get him one of these daysSaintSimmo wrote:sorry but did i just travel back in time a year??Old Mate wrote:Pelchin enquiring on Sam Sheldon from the Lions....

Well some have been looking at Goldsack, another average player, hope it's not us. Cornelius would be better, he was supposedly a saints fan.The Redeemer wrote:But why? he is a below average nothing player?Dr Spaceman wrote:We'll get him one of these daysSaintSimmo wrote:sorry but did i just travel back in time a year??Old Mate wrote:Pelchin enquiring on Sam Sheldon from the Lions....

Not sure about that, but pretty sure he hasn't had opportunity because of health, rather than ability. Think he battled GF for a long time?Dr Spaceman wrote:If Pelchen is keen then obviously he's a damaging left footer with superb foot skillsThe Redeemer wrote:But why? he is a below average nothing player?Dr Spaceman wrote:We'll get him one of these daysSaintSimmo wrote:sorry but did i just travel back in time a year??Old Mate wrote:Pelchin enquiring on Sam Sheldon from the Lions....
Well let him keep battling it up in Brisbane.SainterK wrote:Not sure about that, but pretty sure he hasn't had opportunity because of health, rather than ability. Sure, wasn't saying we should get him, just that I think there has never been a knock on his ability or that he is below average.plugger66 wrote:Well let him keep battling it up in Brisbane.SainterK wrote:Not sure about that, but pretty sure he hasn't had opportunity because of health, rather than ability. Sam Sheldon for those who don't know him:
The silky skilled midfielder has endured a horror run with injuries since being drafted to the Club in 2006. The 183cm recruit from Victoria shows poise beyond his years, is creative in front of goals and is an excellent user of ball by hand or foot

Sounds like Pelchin is already marking his territory - enquires about Sheldon. What/who is Sheldon?? A young, very highly skilled player.. The saints will from now on only be recrutiing blokes who can use the footy..
Thank goodness.

I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.
