WEll if nothing else comes out of the trip, I was rapt to read that Gilbo and Roo are sharing a room together. I know they all said that everything would be patched up, but sometimes that's just lip service. THIS as much as anything else had me a trifle concerned for the year ahead when it all happened. They're both VERY important players to us and if this camp has brought them together it's fantastic. After what happened at the end of last year it had the potential to splinter the whole group I reckon and I'm just glad it all appears completely sorted out..

Agree with this.Moods wrote:WEll if nothing else comes out of the trip, I was rapt to read that Gilbo and Roo are sharing a room together. And much easier to have reconciliation when you're stuck together for 7 straight days in another country. Can't just jump in your car and drive home after training.

Just calm down a bit buddy. It's OK. I was saying that a canyon swing isn't as bad as bungy jumping. I think it's awesome they are doing it and I'm jealous I can't do it.saintslegendLH wrote:O ffs bloody training in the first place would put more pressure on their joints, seriously guys are you crazy, your worried about their body if they go bunjy jumping. im not dissagreeing with u dwoodrow i just think its crazy that some of u guys are complaining that their doing a canyon swing, ffs its more dangerous driving a car to training each day.DWOODROW wrote:They didn't actually all bungy jump anyway. I know because I am too heavy to bungy jump. I would like to do it but would probably break the strap.
I'm not worried about the guys because they wouldn't be doing it if it was going to injure them would they.
Haha I had to have a laugh about this thread when I read it!
I am currently actually living in Queenstown atm and was just checking out the photos of the training online of them doing Canyon Swing and then came on here and saw this thread.
I think the OP needs to get their facts straight as they weren't actually doing bungy jumping at all, they were doing just one big giant swing without the jolting action of a bungy and the dangers that that presents. These swings are probably safer than the swings in your local park as they have that many safety features and are checked and maintained all the time.
Seriously, are we even having this conversation?
I dont think the dogs did Bungy Jumping either, but lots of training and cool walks etc etc.

Unfortunately I couldn't I have a nasty chest infection and fever at the moment and have had it since last friday and I am running on about 2-3 hours interrupted sleep a night. I instead decided to do the smart thing and stay as far away from them as I could.saintbrat wrote:so did you pop out at lunch time or morning tea and check out training?PaulieGa wrote:Haha I had to have a laugh about this thread when I read it!

I would have hated to go and then for them to get back home and for me to read that pre-season is ruined due to half the team having bad chest infections lol.
For those that have never been to this part of the world check out the photos from the training. Those postcard type pictures are everywhere you walk and it is an amazing place.

Well I'm put in my place big time!!! The arguments and reasons put forward by you all show me that sometimes it's best to take a deep breath and choose ones words before posting! (understatement ) To be honest, I've spent a few months just being so flat about the coming season, and not having "Saintsational" to go to compounded the mood. When I saw the picture in the Age of Zac at the canyon swing I got riled up instead of taking the chill pill! My Pals on the Forum have given me the much needed Kick up the arse and I'm back on track, getting busy living and ready to give it everything in 2011!
