Quarter Time Stats:

(Us / Them / Diff)
Possessions 79 / 105 / -26 (That's four extra players)
Marks 17 / 36 / -19
Tackles 14 / 22 / -8 (We aren't even working hard when we don't have the ball)

All-in-all, that tells a pretty ordinary tale.

The big question is...Can we turn it around?

Time to make one hell of a f****** stand.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

You would hope that it would read like that with us being 44 and them 8 but oh no it is the other way around and going to take a huge effort to get from here.
I've noticed RL becoming more animated of late, he's a pretty cool guy, but you'd expect his face to melt at 1/4 time. Who needs a rocket first!?!

I don't see it.. the players are probably shocked and depressed enough to show any heart to get back in the game.

From memory, same thing happened when we played Essendon last year? 40 pdd points down in the third quarter only to end up losing by a handful of points...

The only area we are up is the free kicks for and the hit outs, we are being beaten all over and it shows on the scoreboard. Can we turn it around, I would like to think so, can we, harder question to answer.

Absolutely agree! We can't go on doing 'enough' to win a game. Essendon ALWAYS set themselves for these games, but hell Saints, think of your 40,000 members that have to put up with this dribble!

We absolutely must kick the first two goals of the quarter quick bloody smart. Then we need to peg this lead away goal by goal. collingwood did it three weeks ago and we are a better team than Essendon. Please saints. A loss tonight is unacceptable.

Much like our history against Port...no matter how crap they are, they've won before we even hit the ground. I thought this St Kilda dies in 2007, but it has crept back.
