Correct me if I'm wrong, but we now have 47 and 48? I look at that and think we really, really should have moved that pick on for Harris or Boyle.

Too true, I don't seem to remember everyone being as keen for Cyril Rioli and Joel Selwood this time in the last 2 years...
THAT WAS NOT AN OVER REACTION AT ALL!Armoooo wrote: A bit of an over reaction there Wayne.
Agree 100%. Well worth the risk. He's ready to go. Averaging 20 possessions a game in 2008 in a gun high class mid-field. Astute trading once again by Lyon and his team.Richter wrote:Well for a start he is currently better than Armitage, Eddy, McQualter, Jones, Allen and Fiora - all of whom played finals footy for us this year.doristhesaint wrote:Just what we need another light bodied soft mid who has poor disposal by foot .
Would love to be wrong but cant see us improving with him in the side
He's only 22, has played plenty of games, is ultra-fit, so far injury free. His frame seems like it could do with a bit more muscle so his best may be 3 or 4 years away yet.
And the price? 16 or so draft picks. Great value IMO
Sorry, I wasn't speaking about you, from memory you were one of the biggest supporters of Cyril along with Saintbot, I was keen but I was hoping for Rance, he still hasn't debuted as far as I know, that just shows how much I know about junoir footy...stinger wrote:Armoooo wrote:

go back and look at my posts before making those assertions ffs....
Why? The kid has just been traded, and the best that some cabbages can do is write him off and create stupid names for him.st.byron wrote:A bit of an over reaction there Wayne.WayneJudson42 wrote:Give the kid a chance? Too Soft
We now have Sharon Fiora and Sharon Ray. Very dissapointed in this trade.
Dissapointed? Go supprt another club, tosspot. We don't need your type.

Now Cooney wasa clear No 1...so I am not saying or implying that Ray will ever be as good as Cooney...just that there is good upside in him.
At 187cm he is good height for a mid.....and he contrasts well with our exisiting mids.
We lacked run in our midfield...and Ray may well be able to supply it.
Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel to appear, run down there and light the bloody thing yourself!
Our football manager Drain worked with Ray at the Doggies, this could be good though...ace wrote:F----ing Ray if he turns out no good.
Ray of Hope if he comes good.
Don't we have someone on our recruitment team who came over from the Doggies. Maybe the same guy who took Ray at pick 4 in the "no talent" 2003 draft.
This leaves St Kilda with picks 13, 47, 48, 63, 79, 95 (depending on how many players they wish to take).
In practice that means picks 13, 47, 48, 63.
Pick 79 may be advanced by other clubs not using their round 5
This pick may well be exercised to select a smokey or to redraft a delisted player.
