Funny? ....doesnt begin to describe the hilarity I find in your "virtual Board meetings" with you sitting at a card table, dodgy speaker phone in your y-fronts barking Board oders at the dog on the other end of the line in the shed (ah...thats Dubai in Jeffs world....). I'll admit.....a little sad also.....but funny absolutely!!

None from me *gushes at the thought of the great JeffDunne addressing me*...

You answered my only question when you confirmed you had fabricated your statement that RB & GC were procuring payment for there meeting with Brayshaw.

As for the above off topic response, it is the Bastian of one who can not put their case forward on fact (resort to corny put downs and vainglorious comments)

Cheers!

Who cares, as long as the roos stay alive and RB doesnt step back into our club except as a supporter barracking for the mighty saints. Under his regime, he had the football way understaffed, one of the clubs with least money spent on the football department. That's one of the reasons we made healthy profits. By us not spending money in the right areas and all these so called consultants being paid big bucks. An example of this is when the club wanted to build a massive consortium on the corner of south rd and Linton street. What the new board has done now is saintsational where we are building a complex right in the heart of where our massive supporter base comes from-the Frankston/peninsula area which won't just give us world class facilities, but also much needed supporters from our true area. This wouldn't of happened under the old board.

You need to spend money just as off the field as you do on it.

No wonder Burkey and Thommo are on the new board. They saw massive problems under RB and Thommo is a very smart man with a financial background. Burkey came back probably because he sees light at the end of the tunnel with the new board and changed needed to be made off the field as on it. Go saints

Fabricated. LOL

Nothing gets past a sleuth like you JB.

Your talents are being wasted here.

What I said was :
While I support helping the Kangaroos, I can't say I'm comfortable with our recently departed president & director gaining a personal financial benefit by selling his knowledge of our operations.
Umm . . . fabricated? What exactly did I fabricate?

You asked me the question if I knew he was being paid and I said I didn't.

Some 'fabrication' I had going there.

Guess I must have buckled under your impressive interegation techniques?

Here, since Sherlock Holmes has caught me out 'fabricating', I'll amend my post so even the most anul of readers can understand:
While I support helping the Kangaroos, I can't say I'd be comfortable with our recently departed president & director gaining a personal financial benefit by selling their knowledge of our operations.
Chirst, altering that 'fabrication' was easier than I thought.

Well to be honest, I do care that our ex-president & director only weeks out of the job are discussing what should be confidential information with a competitor.

According to the article the meeting was six weeks ago.

While I support helping the Kangaroos, they are a competitor, and IMO it's piss poor form to be discussing such issues only weeks out of the job.

And personally, given RB's outburst last year, I find hypocritical in the extreme.

I can only imagine the scorn we'd have seen on these boards if 12 months ago we'd read headlines about a certain ex-coach stepping in to help out another club.

.
You mean like Allan Jeans going to Hawthorn?????

or ex assistant coach Ross joining the Saints.

What is the big deal????

On RB...is he on record as stating that he would never help another club??? If not...what is the issue????
It would seem to me that Brayshaw acted ina sensible way....which is more than can be said for his topedoing of the GC offer.
Are you a bity slow sRs? The analogy is with GT. Who on the basis of.... what exactly?..... was accused of using his inside knowledge of St Kilda to make a buck for himself and to whiteant the club. By RB. Who is now doing at least one of the above.

Check under I for Irony in the dictionary.
I think you are off tangent....

GT stated when he left that he wa sa Saints man...and would not coach another club......though did address the Ricmond players which is a form of coaching (personally I think big deal both for not holdinga guy to what he said in the heat of the moment and with respect to what is the big deal about an ex-sainter havinga chat to another club).

Now with RB...I don't think he ever staed that he would not offer advice to another club after he left if aasked??? Did he??

so irepeat ...what is the big deal??

RB stated that he's a passionate Saints man when he left too. I just think it's a bit rich that he has claimed (last year) that GT has white-anted St Kilda after he left (using this as a pretext to avoid paying GT monies owed to him) and then a few weeks after leaving the Saints RB is sharing financial information about the club he claims he is so passionate about with a competitor.

The big deal is RB's hypocrisy. And the refusal of many on here to see the wood from the trees. GT is not a scourge on the St Kilda football club. He can love the club but also wish to be paid for what he thinks he is owed. It seems the club has already accepted 100k of his claim after initially (under RB) refusing this.

The situation bewteen RB and GT re financial affairs is certainly murky after all. Who is to say that GT is not owed a further amount of money? Not me, you or anyone else...... The answer, two sides legal counsel, or if not, a judge. Let justice take it's course.

Personally wouldn't trust RB as far as I could throw my empty Crownie.

As for him earning a living. No problem with that also.

As for him earning a living trading off his presidency of the St Kilda Football Club. No problem.

As for him earning a living trading off his presidency of the St Kilda Football Club and selling trading secrets and business details. That I would have a very big problem with.

I doubt that is the case though. I reckon it's more like coaches having a coffee to discuss footy, like Roos & Ross do.

Only this time, it would've been over a Crownie, not a coffee....
