Congrats to Sincs playing his 150th !
However as we nearly always lose milestone games , I'm definitely expecting to be underwhelmed on Sunday.
Happy Mothers day to all you mothers out there

The 22 has been announced. No Cordy. Sharman, Paton and Butler stay in.

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
The Crows are very inconsistent still. I'm actually a little surprised to see that we are underdogs in this match, I would have thought that results would suggest we should win the game.
I think it's a great opportunity to get a win on the road. Caminiti back in will straighten us up a bit, although it's a bit inexperienced I think the Caminiti-Sharman-Membrey combo can trouble them.
The midfield really need to turn up. A big game from Steeley should see us get the win here.

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
This one will be just as tough as the Collingwood game, Adelaide are a really good team. Aside from last weeks game against Geelong, they should have won all their other games. Also, I don't think the narrow ground suits our game style.
Collingwood's midfield is better (and we got them without DeGoey) but Adelaide are scary good forward of the ball. Quality and dangerous, big forwards and small forwards.
Our form has been off a bit since the Collingwood game, Its going to be tough.
They've kept Membrey and Sharman in with the addition of Caminitti. Hope that means that Owens is going into the middle in addition to Sinclair. I think Hunter Clark can do the job across half back..

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
I'm not as impressed by Adelaide as many on here.
While they did beat Port convincingly in the derby game a few rounds back, I don't think they are normally anywhere near as much of a threat as Port, who arguably have the best midfield lineup in the comp in Butters, Rozee, Boak, Wines and JHF (and Duursma before he got injured against us) and some dangerous forwards.
I have this sense that we are going to have a good win tomorrow. Those who disagree should bookmark this post and have a go at me around 4pm tomorrow.

Think the umpires are an obstacle too far at this location. Look towards next week

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
I have a bad bad feeling about tomorrow.
But, if we win, we will be 2nd, and we have a great chance to remain in the top 4 for the rest of the season.
King comes back and gives us a point of difference and a great ability to kick bigger scores.
And hopefully the forwards learn to be more effective in kicking big scores

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
Win today and we are the real deal.
I think Crows are playing well atm and a bit underrated.
Good v Geelong at the Cattery , should have beaten Collingwood at home , thumped Carlton and accounted for Port before that.
Rachelle , Rankine and Dawson the dangers imo. Rachelle been quiet lately but I think we’ll be so focused on Rankine that Rachelle may just find the space he needs to play himself back into form .
Dawson is quality
Hoping Caminiti can clunk a few today which has been something we’ve missed the last 2 weeks in particular when the ball
goes in fast and blind.

Hopefully we atrophy Crow’s ball movement and their forwards aren’t allowed any time and space.

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
Walker often dines out on us.
ORielly in top form, Rowan proppy?
Umpires seem to like penalising Dougal when contesting with Thilthorp
If Michalanny and Pou go h2h that will be fun
Form line at Crowville quite poor, brave efforts often falling short.
Need to shush the crowd. Sell out because they smell blood of wounded Saints?
Looking forward to seeing how the group responds to all that's stacked against them.

Callum Wilkie
I wonder what they'll do?
He has been 'The Dominator' until Round Seven, when Port Adelaide figured it out. Wilkie had, what, one mark that game?
Adelaide will have taken note.
Josh Battle will be a hero, must be...
Oh boy
This is it.
Over the top!

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.
This is going to be a very unpopular comment, however Wilkie who I think is still underrated despite the media finally identifying his talents, is the absolute master of pushing opponents in the back and under the ball in a marking con test with just enough force and timing to unbalance them, but not enough to be penalised. He is so close to the line sometimes I just take a breath waiting on the call, but he gets away with it 95% of the time.Yorkeys wrote: ↑Sun 14 May 2023 10:35am Walker often dines out on us.
