Round One VFL : Southport vs Sandy

Of the half dozen who did play against Southport, traditionally a very strong Club both financially and on field, the 2 I am most interested in regard the near future are Heath and Adams

The AFL back 6 is only missing Coffield hence Highmore at VFL level

And with Coffield back it will become more difficult for Highmore absent injuries

Van Es, given his size, is of longer term significance

He may need a season of development at the next level to AFL

Then we have those on the injury list!!!

And, as long as the AFL side is competitive and in the hunt, the VFL side not winning games is not the issue

It is a development side

Mind you a strong AFL side may (may) filter down to the VFL

But the fact the VFL is a developmental side says maybe not
