Re: GWS looking at Savage
You gotta laugh. So many experts on here were claiming that we would be trading out Billings, Dunstan, Ross, Webster and Roberton. 11 gone now but these 5 remain. Yet to see on Carlisle and Lonie.
Yeah, I know that some will claim that there was just no interest in this group, but where's their proof. Doesn't exist, apart from in their minds.
I for one was confident that Billings and Ross would be playing for the saints in 2021 and the club had always maintained that Dunstan, Webster and Roberton were good required players.
I make no comment on McKenzie who is a contracted player.
Sad to see Logan and Langlands go though. Thought they had promise.
Delistings
ST KILDA
■ Nathan Brown — After departing St Kilda’s Queensland hub for family reasons, Brown penned a letter to teammates confirming he had called time on his career. A Pies’ premiership player who owns the scalp of Nick Riewoldt in the 2010 replay.
■ Ryan Abbott, Logan Austin, Jack Bell, Doulton Langlands, Jack Mayo — The Saints trimmed five names from their list after their finals exit.
■ Matthew Parker — The high-marking mature-age recruit was delisted in the middle of trade period after playing 19 games in two seasons.
■ Nick Hind — Speedster traded to Essendon, where he made his mark as a VFL player.
■ Ed Phillips — Wasn’t offered a new contract after 15 games in four seasons.
■ Jonathon Marsh — Ex-Pie leaves the Saints after 11 games following his arrival at the club in the 2019 supplemental selection period.
■ Shane Savage — Former Hawk tweeted his own delisting after seven years at the club.

God even delisted HIM.
Went with 12 rookies instead.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Re: GWS looking at Savage
List Lodgement No1 moved to Wednesday 25 November.
If Lonie and Carlisle don't re-sign I will be very cross.
Marsh and Savage have been executed on the assumption that Lonie and Carlisle remain.

Re: GWS looking at Savage
You may just be adding Geary and Ross into a list of half back top ups and you could use McKernan and Battle in any forward role that Marsh played. So I'm not sure our depth has been downgraded at all.
Both players were unlucky but they won't be missed and, in terms of list depth, we have only gone forward again.
