Dunstan's disposal and pace seems to improve the longer he doesn't play. He's a slightly better tackler than Ross, his commitment and courage can never be questioned but he's as one sided as Ross, slower than Ross, less durable than Ross.
Ross needs to be one of our 4th to 6th midfielders, not Dunstan. I hope a club really wants him and he has a good finish to his AFL career...Win / Win.
Dunstan has been on our list since 2013 and hasn't been able to cement a spot so why are people so desperate to keep him, lets move him on and see what we can get for him.
It's the same as everyones blind faith in Lonie (2014), who bobs up every now and again and kicks a few goals usually against the lesser sides and then goes missing for weeks on end.
Agreed. Dunstan, Lonie, Roberton and Webster should be traded. If we were able to get pick 35 for Dunstan, 35 for Lonie, 45 for Roberton and 45 for Webster and then bundle all the picks up we might be able to move up the draft order. Pick 35 = 522 x 2 = 1044, Pick 45 = 347 x 2 = 694, 1044 + 694 = 1738 which is the equivalent of pick 6 (approx). Now I'm not saying a club would give us pick 6 for those 4 players but those points will give us extra bargaining power during the trade period.

Re: What we need
As long as they can mark the footy and hit as hard as Stack and Pickett from Richmond or that other bloke Krakouer who used to play for them and for Collingwood, then why not? Sidney Stack was overlooked in the National Draft because he had a rough upbringing and was in trouble with the law at times
With caveats of course....they have to have a clean bedroom
Nah...the thing is; if you have strong leadership and a young talented footballer has shown that he wants to change his ways, then a second chance can benefit both. Stack may have suffered 'cabin fever' a little more than others, especially not being able to play regular VFL footy. If Richmond want to discard him, we should pounce

Pretty talented. You reckon they would be able to pinch a goal at the right time.asiu wrote: ↑Sun 18 Oct 2020 10:09pm and or , check this out

Re: What we need
So looks like we'll get Crouch as a free agent. If so that's awesome as he's free.
-Now we need to lock down Jye Caldwell, as he's a player that will be best 22, and will improve us moving forward.
-That leave us with finding a FF/CHF to partner Max King.
- Ben King would be awesome long term.
- Could Brown be an option now Cameron is supposedly going to the cats.
- Or maybe Jarrod Brander, Sam Hayes........

Re: What we need
May have to wait until Ben King becomes a FA unfortunately- seems like the AFL will do everything in their power to keep him there until then.
The good news is when he does finally arrive it should help us win a couple more back to back flags and make us the first club to win 5 on the trot in the modern era

He is contacted and Bulldogs are not interested in trading.
He would cost heaven and earth.

5 consecutive flags is what is would take to make up for all the pain over the last 42 years.Zed wrote: ↑Wed 21 Oct 2020 9:34pm May have to wait until Ben King becomes a FA unfortunately- seems like the AFL will do everything in their power to keep him there until then.

One flag would be a great start but it just wouldn't cut it.

Re: What we need
Would like Dunkley or Hunter, the Bulldogs have some really decent mids who play forward because they can't get midfield time.
What would we have to give up for either?
Does #14 and Lonie get the deal done?

I don’t reckon 14 and Lonie would get it done, we would have to find a sweetener.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Thu 22 Oct 2020 7:11pmWould like Dunkley or Hunter, the Bulldogs have some really decent mids who play forward because they can't get midfield time.

Re: What we need
GWS wre chasing him as a part of the Cameron trade, either Geelong would want plenty?
