No point in recruiting Higgins- might as well play Savage. We should only be getting more games into Bytel and Byrnes as our future midfield.

At 33 next year he's one calf strain injury away from retirement. Play Bytel and Byrne's and which ever young kid we draft or trade in. He'd take one of their spots and we're not in a position to stop developing our kids.

We need midfielders but would much rather get players about to blossom rather than those at the end of his career. You have to wonder why North are so keen to off load him, when their list will already be decimated.

I appreciate that but they will get nothing for him. You have to hang on to some talent to protect the younger players and give your supporters something to hang onto.

Savage is 3 years younger.
Why are we even discussing Higgins.
He may provide a one year sugar hit then what.
