I have read the thread- clearly you haven’t. Devil head didn’t say the only way. You did. Newnes is not a GOP he is an ordinary player in an ordinary side, there was nothing consistently good about his game. If we misused/mis trained Weller why was he also delisted from two other clubs?B.M wrote: ↑Wed 18 Dec 2019 7:32pm Did you read the thread Barometer, or just my post?
Devilhead suggested it, just a few posts back!
Newnes was no star, nor was he a dud. Just a GOP.
I have suggested many times, he (like Weller) added too much weight and lost his strength which was his running power.
Size is not necessary for outside players, running is very much necessary!
Which is why he found himself no longer in the midfield. Therefore, no longer got midfield numbers after 2016

Re: Jack New(ne)s article on the Hun
Both players played over 100 games for StK
Both were in the leadership group at one stage
Both performed pretty well in 2016/2017 when we did ok
Both were not stars, we know that, but they had a crack for the RWB
BTW
Weller retired at Richmond because his time in the AFL was up and many young players at the best club in the AFL were better options for them.
Newnes got picked up by Carlton, who arguably are a better team than STK

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Foresight??
Stupid comment!!!
