In this match Billy Schmidt and the legendary Dave McNamara BOTH bagged 7 goals.
This was the first ever instance of two teammates scoring 7 or more goals each in the same game.
This was only the 3rd and 4th instances of a StKilda player scoring 7 or more goals.
It happened in a StK win at the Junction Oval against Melbourne.
The Saints won all 4 quarters and ran out winners by 10 goals, 17.13 115 to 8.7 55

The 1995 Ansett Cup game v Carlton was seen as the start of the Saints rise to power in that era..we knocked off Carlton after giving them 48 points start with a couple of young'uns in Smith and Jones starring..
