Always said that Petracca was a guaranteed bust.
Overrated spud that has no upside and has big ???? over his kicking.
Only dominates because of his size in the juniors

Geez, just when I was getting used to the new Leigh Matthews Jaxons shoots down the holy grail.Dave McNamara wrote:ausfatcat wrote:I think we will get McCartin with pick 1
If that's the case, unload that number one pick for the deal above!
Aus, IMHO one-trick McCartin will struggle to even make in the AFL...full stop! Let alone be worth a top five pick.
Any deal for Petracca must start with Cameron on the table, then the offer made to us is built up from that starting point.
This draft is Petracca, then... daylight.
This kid is built for his age. Is an inside mover and shaker. Throw in goal kicker and overhead mark and it's easy to get carried away.

Im the last one to be a wowser or the standards police but surely you can think of a more PG and less crude rated scale/metaphor. Noone needs to be r*ped . After pick 17 in 2009 we shouldnt go there...sainter#4 wrote:Jaxons can you tell us where you believe the deal sits on a number scale; 1 being we are getting bent over and raped and 10 being we are bending them over and doing the raping?

If we trade pick 1 for pick 2 and 3 and a player I'll be happy, as long as that player is not effing Labumba!

Re: GWS to get pick 1
I will tell you a couple of facts.sainter#4 wrote:Jaxons can you tell us where you believe the deal sits on a number scale; 1 - 10 ?
Luke Hodge, Des Headland and Drew Banfield are the only players taken at #1 by their original club to have played in a premiership since 1986 of No.1 draft picks (yes Riewoldt was close).
We will not build the list well enough by going into this draft with just picks #1 and #23 and #40.
If I told you we may have 4-5 picks inside pick 23 and/or maybe a young gun with those picks, you would think that gives us a better chance moving forward in the long run.
I would have thought so.

I guess it obviously depends on the return, But if it was say pick 4,7,19 you wouldn't be upset....
Have we spoken about this young gun before on this board?

Re: GWS to get pick 1
My only worry would be how deep the talent is in this Draft??? Is it comparable to other good drafts.
No point having 4 to 5 picks if the talent doesn't run deep. To trade pick 1 would have to be special. I would hate for Petracca and/or Mc Cartin to be superstars and the picks we get flop.
What's worse. Giving away a potential superstar and flopping our picks, or flopping pick 1???
