Is that right - what were those 2 free kicks in front of goal to Knights for in a 2 goal result ?AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:
We've had by far the better of the umpiring, by the way.
One to the R of screen for a incidental soft side bump
And to L of screen, when the tackle had virtually finished and a Saint's shoulder just lent on Knight's head. Soft as

The only positives we're Armitage again and Cripps.
But guys, you don't win games with 1 goal in a half of football, that is crap, if that's your idea of good signs, then you are easily pleased with mediocrity, and that first half was below mediocrity.
If the coach had the brains to make them play and set up like they did in the third quarter, we might have won this game.
We have dysfunctional forward line, sorry, but right now, all I'm looking forward to is the end of the season so I don't have too watch the painful excuse of football this side is dishing up and hoping for a big improvement next year with some decent recruits.
Some might think we can still make finals, really who cares if we can make finals, we've been doing that for most of the last ten years, I don't just want to make finals, I want too win a friggin premiership and nothing else is good enough.
Our supporters have suffered for far too long, it's time this club rewarded their loyalty with the prize.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

Correct, we didn't any as soft in front as those. It's not how many they pay, it's where they pay them. BTW, where was Roo's free for Stiffy's 'Pickett-esque' shoulder?MCG-Unit wrote:Is that right - what were those 2 free kicks in front of goal to Knights for in a 2 goal result ?AnythingsPossibleSaints wrote:

Yes nothing for that - yet accidents count in footy - umpire didn't miss Baker accidentally clipping a Crow high to the L of screendegruch wrote:Correct, we didn't any as soft in front as those. The 2nd was poor...every 2nd quarter this year has been bad, hasn't it? The 1st we missed 6 goals from ~30m out...we could have been in front at quarter time! Yes, bad kicking is bad footy, but the general play around the ground, aside from the ruck, was OK in the 1st.3rd generation saint wrote:But guys, you don't win games with 1 goal in a half of football, that is crap, if that's your idea of good signs, then you are easily pleased with mediocrity, and that first half was below mediocrity.
In any case, there was nothing much wrong with the last half.

Jimmy Gwilt was reported during the game, and given 2 weeks in 2009 for a similar accident. Yet that's was worth nothing in our F50? There were cheap shots all over the ground all night, especially from Johncock, not many paid.MCG-Unit wrote:Yes nothing for that - yet accidents count in footy - umpire didn't miss Baker accidentally clipping a Crow high to the L of screendegruch wrote:Correct, we didn't any as soft in front as those.
