It was a ridiculous decision.
It was still part of the same game. How can you allow a side to bring someone from outside the selected 21 into the team. It would be like Australia sending the 12th man out to open the batting.

sorry St Fid Jr.
But here's one.
St.Kilda were involved in the first and last games ever played at a particular ground. (87 years apart). (No not Moorabbin, to easy).
What was that ground??
If you really must test yourself then name the seasons and the opponents as well.

Yes it was the Junction Oval.
The first game there was in 1897. Saints vs Pies.
the last game there was in 1984. Fitzroy vs Saints.
SB's turn I think??

Do you count it if it is over 2 seasons??
Cause Brisbane and Collingwood played 3 times in 6 games from the finals of 2003 and early season 2004. It was also 4 from 10 games.

yeh I was counting over two seasons- was that at the same ground?
I guess if you are in finals you will play one team more than once if you win a couple-- but how often have the last games of one season and the first of the next been against the same teams?

OK...
This is from another source, obviously I can't say it now otherwise people may find it...
No. 35 is the highest number to be worn in at least one senior game in each of the last 10 years.
What is the next highest number to be worn in a senior game every season since 1994?

An appropriate question for post number 300.
Barry Breen celebrated his 300th game against Footscray in 1982. He played one more game for the Saints before retiring but these days is credited with only 300 games. Why?

That is a very interesting question.
Does anyone know the answer?
