I see the previous racial argument had spilled across from the other thread. Haven't read it so have no idea on who said what to whom, and don't care.

I see above you tell stinger not to stalk your posts.

And then the next reply is you replying to stinger. Surely if you don't want to converse with him the easiest way is to not converse with him.

It is this notion that is being put out there by Collingwood and/or Ball that he didn't leave for more money, because they all know that, even if it is the truth?, nobody wants to be seen as a mercenary.

So they create this 'illusion' that
he wasn't 'wanted'
he wasn't 'valued'
he was 'thrown out'
he left for 'more game time'
his position at St Kilda was 'untenable'
he's on less money at Collingwod.

And all of this to try and deflect the notion that he left for a better deal.

Why is that so hard to accept?

Luke Ball got offered a better deal at Collingwood.
Obviously,
He's been guaranteed more game time by them.

He's been guaranteed he doesn't have to follow a game plan he either doesn't like or is physically incapable of carrying out.

He's been guaranteed that whatever he produces will be sufficient.

He's been guaranteed that his own evaluation of his fitness will be taken above that of the fitness staff employed.

I mean you would have to think he's been guaranteed all of that because everybody tells us that he didn't go for more money.

Logical isn't it?

Huh? Are you saying that opposition supporters opions matter more to you? Or that they more? I've spoken to some opposition supporters and most of them reckon that he was over rated. So they must be right, eh stinger?

Personally, I don't care what Sheahan or opposition supporters think.

True, maybe I should. Not sure about this Milt thing, though. Ho hum. Butif you are as reasonable as you make out to be, then feel free to read the other thread before calling people pathetic. Surely that's not too much to ask is it? Or do you also possess those double standards that you so despise?

Oh no, I stand by the pathetic comment.

You've supposedly been on this forum for about three months and I reckon you've been involved in an argument with stinger for about 87% of that time.

If you are not Milton66 I will go he.

And I stand by my comment, bringing that 'rembling' racial comment into another thread where people might be reading it independantly of another thread, like me for instance, is pathetic.

You are the personification of the troublemaker that Harvey's Deciple mentioned in the General Forum. You are only here to make trouble.

I am a reasonable person and I can see that as clear as day.

Have a great day!

Stinger,
firstly I'm not anybody else, neither am I a clone of anybody else.
And what have I said about Ball that you find so offensive?
Secondly, accusing me of making suff up doesn't win you any brownie points with me either. I've stayed out of your fights with others becasue t's had nothing to do with me. I'm not sure why you've decided you want to ahve a go at me now - just because you don't like my pov on this?

You obviously believe what you want to believe.
I choose not to accept the obvious (to me) BS being spun by Collingwood and it's apparatchiks over this.

You keep telling me that he didn't go for money.
Sheahan wrote that he is earning less at Collingwood than at St Kilda.
John Ralph gave ther most convoluted, hysterical, nonsensical reasoning as to why Sheahan's statement was correct.

You're the one on here stating that he was attempted to be traded.

Whislt I believe 100% that you were told that by a person whom you believe, I find it interesting that not a single reporter/person/poster/anybody has either confirmed that or even raised it.

I would have thought that all it needed to confirm Ball's 'story' was for him/his manager/his family/Collingwood/Maquire/Malthouse or anybody else spreading the crap that is being spread about St Kilda/Lyon/Reiwoldt to just let that 'little pearler' about trade atempt out and there would be nothing to discuss.

Instead we'vve had months of this nonsense being drip-fed to hand-picked journalists.

So if he didn't go for money, what did he leave for?
I don't believe he was guaranteed game time, so that trade week excuse is BS (IMO).
I don't believe he was sent packing by St Kilda, so that inference is BS(IMO).
I don't believe he left because he wasn't wanted, so that excuse is BS(IMO).
St Kilda must be a pretty poorly run Club if they leave contracts for 1 million dollars over 3 years lying around unsigned. Imagine how much the contract would be for players that they actually want?

To me there is absolutely no logic to this notion being put forward about Ball not being wanted etc. The actions of St Kilda that have been confirmed make no sense when viewed against this notion.
Therefore I come to the conclusion that i have.

I believe the Club, Coach and Captain in this instance.

I disbelieve Sheahan, Ralph, maguire, Malthouse and Ball's advisors on this issue.

I'll take issue with your assumptions. You can believe I'm King Kanute for all I care. mAybe you can round up your mate Milton and we can all be in the same room at the same time. Boy, wouldn't that be fun?

Take a good look and tell me who jumped into this thread and began the doscourse with me? And the other thread? I'll accept criticism when warranted, but what you are saying is dead wrong.

I did not bring anything from the general forum into here. I have kept away from replying to Stinger until provoked today.

Call me what you want, but at least get your facts straight, sunshine.

Still, you're the man.

Take it to the messages if you want to discuss it further, but for the sake of some sanity, I'm opting out of this thread.

BTW - and this is monumentally off the topic - but, yep that's my view: unashamedly.

I don't care what colour, previous nationality, size, shape, religion, or star sign they are, I'm very welcoming of people becoming Australian citizens.

But, in my book, when you choose to become an Australian citizen, then that's what you now are: your previous nationality is gone forever.

Otherwise, why have you taken up the citizenship of another country? As a matter of convenience?

Sorry, I don't like my country being treated with such disrespect. I think there are too many new "citizens" in Australia who aren't really committed to the place. I'm not suggesting that they ought to be made to do stupid tests about "who was Don Bradman?", etc. I just think that, as is the case with US citizenship, our citizenship should be something a little difficult to get and of which those who get it should be proud.

I blame the number crunching party hacks of the Hawke Labor Government who decided to make citizenship unbelievably easy to get (2 years of residence FFS!) because the opinion polls all showed that new citizens voted about 60/40 for the ALP. A disgraceful, self-serving decision and, even though the Howard Government put the barriers up a little higher, it's still far too easy for mine.

End of rant

So you are saying that if you moved overseas and became a local citizen, then you'd renounce and Australian heritage? With respect, I find that all a bit odd.

I wouldn't renounce my heritage, but if people starting saying "I hate Australians" I certainly wouldn't jump up and down and say "how dare you, I'm an Australian".

And, if my new country went to war with Australia, I'd fight for my new country (albeit, that I'm too old now to fight for anyone).

That's what citizenship means. It's not just something to benefit me personally, it's got obligations attaching to it as well.

I totally agree with that. But you cannot simply erase a part of your life in a flash. There are memories etc. Doesn't mean you support your old country. In the context of the other stuff, the implications of a skin colour and race stereotyped (in my view) them. Let's agree to disagree, and move on. No one wants to hear it.

I just think that, as is the case with US citizenship, our citizenship should be something a little difficult to get and of which those who get it should be proud....
It is off topic, but I agree with this sentiment.
so let's make it back on topic.

In this instance
I support the Club, Coach, Captain and Country.
I've got to give you full marks for that one MM :D :D :D
Now how perfect would it be if I can get you to commit to supporting all 4 of the above? :)
In general I do support the club, coach and captain.

I even support the decision to get rid of Luke Ball: after all, it happened, and we are about to go into a season without him, so what point is there in my continuing to mope about it (likewise the decision to recruit Lovett)?

I just don't think that supporting someone means I have to believe everything they say to me.

Anyway, go sainters in 2010!!! And Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi! Oi! Oi! in the cricket (even though the care factor is almost zero and I'd almost like to see the Windies get up just for a bit of a contest in the remaining games).

If you are going to be a sm@rt @rse, can you at least make sure you can spell!
Sorry. That was my Sth African accent. It sort of rubbed off on me from my wife, who isn't really Sth African any more because she's an Australian citizen, according to Mr Baba.

i seriously doubt that you are married to anyone fwiw.....
Read your sig, Stinger. Or seek help. Either way: Quit stalking my posts.

Come on Milt....er JM, you can improve your game better than that!!
Not really wanting to buy into the Milt=JM theory (I'm not a great one for conspiracy theories).

However, I fell into a trance at work this afternoon (a fairly common occurence) and the Ghost of Saintsational Past came to visit me. He/she/it/gt/they said to me

"enough of this pantomime

consider this quote from the Invictus thread
God lord. My wife is Sth African. I find your comments extremely offensive and blatantly racist. I shall email the moderators with my disgust.

And please do not message me trying to defend your actions, ever again.

The other poster has related your messages to me, and it is obvious what type of creature you are.
theres 40 minutes between stingers post and JM's reply

in that 40 minutes , by my reckoning

JM ...pm'd stinger

stinger pm'd back

JM's first action , before even posting , is to pick the fight or receive pm's from milton , i'm not sure what came first

but regardless , all this is going on before anyone actually knows ...it still hasnt been posted

nor does he pm the mods first , because as he writes
... extremely offensive and blatantly racist. I shall email the moderators with my disgust.
God lord. ... and wtf ?

theres collusion and intent in there everyone

free the saintsational 3

and change miltons name , permantly to Dame Nellie Milton for evermore"

And there you have it. Because I was in a trance when I received it, the message might have become a little garbled. But I think the thrust of it is fairly clear. I guess we would need stinger's input to confirm it: and, alas stinger has suddenly gone very quiet and I fear he might now have been banned from the fan forum as well.

To paraphrase British Foreign Secretary Earl Grey before the outbreak of WWI "the lights are going out all over Saintsational, we shall not see them lit again before the season proper begins in March"

Barks, try not to get personal, likewise stinger.

And JMSainter you have also referred to people as idiot's etc in this thread too so it definitely applies to you as well.

And try not to bring your grudges into the argument...whoever you are.

That's part of the reason why arguments erupt like what's led to the action in the general forum. Certain people see a name of a poster and can't resist.

It's been fairly mellow in this thread, so it's just a heads up to be careful.
Yeah no worries HD, you have my respect!

Ok Baba, I'll play along only to point out how silly you can be here. Ok?

You should get your facts right before launching into your ramblings.

First and foremost, the PM I was refering to was sent to me on:

From: stinger
To: JMsainter
Posted: Thu 14 Jan 2010 5:39pm
Subject: milton

Now, as far as the Invictus thread goes:

Stinger made the comments at: Posted: Thu 28 Jan 2010 9:31am

I initally replied to him via message at:

From: JMsainter
To: stinger
Posted: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:07am
Subject: Re: milton

my reply to the comments: Posted: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:10am

WOW, 40 whole minutes. Forgive me for not being around at the time of Stinger's comments and posting immediately. I had to wait for my instrcutions from Milton to act. Get with the plan Baba!!!

Stinger's reply: 10:11am

Milton jumps in: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:21am

My reply: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:29am

Once again, I wiated so long because I was instructed by myself to do so. Oooops, just gave myself away. Dang!

Stinger replies: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:32am

I reply: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:41am

Stinger replies: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:43am

Milton replies: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:45am

I reply: Thu 28 Jan 2010 10:55am

Milton comments: Thu 28 Jan 2010 11:05am

I then logged of for the day and came back at: Thu 28 Jan 2010 4:47pm

Things had heated up by then with Milton going nuts. Of course I kept out of it because I told myslef to let Milton do the talking.

Milton commented at: Posted: Thu 28 Jan 2010 4:49pm

So, I can see where you're going with this, but the lost few posts indicate that I have four arms and 2 keyboards.

Once again, thank you for the comic relief. Hopefully you're not doing it on tax payer's money. Not a bad effort for someone who starts his post with "not wanting to buy in". And yet you spend so much time waffling on about it.

Have a nice day.

WHY are we having to put with all that General Forum, petty, childish squabbling nonsense over here on the main forum?

Has the general forum been shutdown?

FAIR DINKUM believe it or not some people actually log in to a footy forum to talk footy and things related, strange concept I know but I'm told it does happen!
