Paddy turned 22 today.
Surely someone can go on a rant about that.

Re: Paddy
Last week would have given him a bit of heart, and it's great he's stringing some consistent games together, but he really does need to start impacting games meaningfully. I mean, let's be honest, that goal last week was clearly touched, although a great kick, I'm not denying that.
1 or 2 goals in four games is clearly nowhere near enough for a full time forward in his fourth year. He needs to hit the scoreboard today, and hopefully have a breakout game against the Hawks next week.

Re: Paddy
Was outstanding today. Worked hard all day. Good to see the second and third efforts. Starting to show why there was the hype about him. You can see the confidence building week by week. Good to see him get up after a couple of big hits also.

Need The Member to get up to his old form and Bruce to rediscover himself.
Then Paddy will have more opportunities to win 1 on 1's and show his stuff.

Re: Paddy
He crashed a pack at one stage in the second or third and I thought it may have knocked the stuffing out of him, but he played a terrific last quarter.
I was critical of our coaches for not playing him early last year ( before he got the concussion injuries ) and when he was in the VFL instead of learning his craft with the big boys. In a way, perhaps the tough lessons learned and the doubts around his future - even maybe some self doubt - pushed him to go and get fitter than he has ever been, and realising how hard he needed to work to get AFL fit if he wanted to break in to the team. That hard work late last year and in the preseason is helping him cope with the rigours required. His character and courage was never questioned. Well done Paddy
