Re: Match Thread Saints v Weagles Round 12 2024
For all the whiners, whingers and wankers (hi Saynta)
No one is sai this side is finals bound - better that we aren’t
But a win in the road against a side at home who are a much different proposition than away is good business
Yes they missed Kelly and another
We missed King for half a game and Crouch full so what?
Butler also 1st game back as well
Aside from all that noise what did we learn????
When we break even and are competitive in midfield….we look a different side
End 2nd we lost 11 clearances straight- Eagles on top
3rd and 4th - we had all the ascendancy …if our front half game was better and we execute better we win comfortably
Dow - v good today he and Clark made a difference in the guts…we didn’t drop away as we have previously
Windhager was really good - I don’t blame Lyon for backing his side early but when the move had to be made …he made it
Wood forward was also a great shift
I also again saw glimpses today if foreard half ball movement that looked far far better ….its clear we have bombed for a long time and it’s 1st instinct ….but today some really smart forward gang entries by Henry Owens Wilson (spot up Nas)
I also liked the move of Sincs back and NAS on ball …gave us a spark
We still need a cull but that’s coming
Happy to lose a few now … need picks

Windy showed that Harley Reid can be tagged out of the game. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sat 01 Jun 2024 9:09pm Reid will win a Brownlow
If you can’t see how good he is then sorry mate. What can I say .?
Only arrogant coaches will have one of their players go head to head with him instead of tagging.
It would only prove the AFL to be corrupt if he wins the rising star.
Wilson may be chance with Reid and Darcy both ineligible due to suspension.
Would be ironic if Wilson won because Reid slung him into the ground.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Weagles Round 12 2024
Geelong are tonight
Gryan Miers has been awful. 10 disposals 6 kicks
And DE is running at 30%
I think his kick disposal efficiency was 22%
He's not a dud. It happens.
Every time we look like playing badly or look like losing a game you blame individuals.
Like c'mon. FFS. Can't you see there's some glaring issues with game plan ...and even match ups at times

Maybe Ross was so crook he let Enright take over at half time and that’s where all the moves came from?
